Simply put I will be in search of a new therapist. My initial visit I thought was questionable, but upon my second arrival today I was greeted by a very rude and condescending girl at the front desk and I say girl because it's exactly the way she conducted herself, like a 15yr old who woke up on the wrong side of the bed. You would've thought I knew her personally and that there were some issues between her and I.I'm still in disbelief of the interaction with her, but proud of myself for not stooping to her level.

The staff members are very kind, caring, knowledgeable and professional. I have had great success with my health needs here at Duke Brier Creek. I won't go anywhere else - if I should have a need again.

If this review were solely based off of care, it would be 5 stars. I received wonderful care from Jennifer and Anjali in the pelvic floor department. They were both amazing and I really felt taken care of/listened to and experienced relief from the symptoms that brought me in. I would 100% recommend based of the merit of these two amazing therapists. However, the reason for the negative review comes down to the financial department. I was told my treatment would be covered by insurance (blue cross blue shield federal) with the exception of a couple dry needling sessions that I would likely need to pay for out of pocket. During the course of my treatment, I received a few letters from insurance saying that there was an issue and eluding that it might be out of network. I brought one of the letters into the office and was assured by one of the financial counselors that it was a coding error and there was no need for any action on my part.Flash forward 4 months post my last appointment and I am being billed for the total cost of all 11 visits. This is completely unacceptable and their error coupled with their tardiness in billing took away any opportunity for me to reassess my treatment plan with the knowledge of it being out of network.

I've gone here for separate ailments and worked with Jennifer for shoulder strength and Jennifer/Anjali for dry needling. Both have been great and extremely helpful. I previously did some dry needling at Raleigh Orthopaedic Physical Therapy and quit after a few sessions because an "hour long dry needling session" actually only consisted of needling during the last 15 minutes or so. I received a completely different experience at Brier Creek. Anjali will focus the entire session on dry needling if necessary and provides the option to use electric stimulation. I definitely recommend them!
