I was working with Johnathan Ellis. At first he was very responsive, so I decided to submit an application. After about a week, I had to follow up. Said he was busy due to the end of the month. I sent income information on 3/29/23. I have not heard about the status of my application and at this point do not care. I rather work with a different lender.

I have had a terrible time with this company. My loan was bought by Mr. Cooper in 1/2021. Instead of paying all my property taxes, Cornerstone only sent 1/2 of it-probably because they knew the loan was moving.. So in January of 2021, I was delinquent for my property taxes. Mr. Cooper paid all of it for me as county tax office said they got nothing from Cornerstone, The online chat pple are incredibly inept, Told me several times they were escalating it. Turns out Cornerstone put the incorrect information on the check so it went towards the previous owner and now the county office cannot move it. I had to call the actual mortg person to try to get them to fix their mistake. Radio silence now they know it was fault. I am out that money thanks to Cornerstone.

As a local realtor, finding a reliable lender to send clients to is a MUST. I trust the Matt Valentine Team at Cornerstone Home Lending with every buyer I meet and always send them to MVT first! They have saved multiple deals for my homebuyers that could have been lost with other lenders. They have such a wide variety of loan products. Matt Valentine really pulled through in a sticky situation not of his making resulting in a delayed refinance closing. He had everything back on track and closed the next day and had everything worked out just the way we originally planned. Matt and team went the extra mile to make sure we were happy and taken care of.

Al Dada is amazing! He helped us with our original home loan & just assisted us years later with our refi. He always does his best to offer the best rates. With COVID in the picture these days, closings look a little different & take longer. Al was ready & eager to assist/help the closing attorney (she had to juggle several families) keep our closing documents moving with signatures. We never had to wait on her because Al was there to answer any questions we had & to assist us in signing. There were NO other lenders present with their customers. I just cannot say enough about Al's exceptional customer care in a time where it is a rarity. So pleased.
