“We ended up looking for a new church home after COVID and we’re invited to Macedonia while enrolling our daughter in the preschool hosted in the church. (The Children’s Place, which we also love.) We were hoping for a small church so we could get to know multiple generations and our kids would know others and feel cared for - we found all that and more! My feeling about MBC right now is excited expectation as it grows and encourages members to serve in ways they are gifted. There are new events and well established traditions, a history of Biblical teaching, recently started community/life/small groups, passionate kids’ ministry volunteers, contemporary music with nods to classic hymns, and a congregation that loves Jesus and wants to share his love with the community. There is a sweet convergence of people who have been there for decades and people who were looking for something new. If you’re looking for a place to be part of a community, serve God alongside other believers, or just curious about Jesus, come join us one Sunday!”

“Finding this church was an incredible gift to my family. We feel welcome and connected. It has helped us grow our faith to the next level! At Capital City, I’ve found community, acceptance, love, and so much more.On my first Sunday, I was greeted right when I walked through the door and immediately felt like I was wanted and welcomed. The spirit of the Lord is felt during Sunday morning worship and followed by sermons that are clearly sent from the Lord. Each and every Sunday, I’m blessed with a message from the pastor that resonates in some way. They have something that’s appealing to all ages, which is hard to find. We enjoy the Wednesday night Bible groups and the various events that take place. This church has the sweetest members and leadership. Pastor Herring and his wife are such genuine people that truly care for their church members.I'm thankful to belong here and to worship the Lord alongside such amazing people.”

“First went to the young adult ministry (YAM) night hosted at the main campus (Raleigh) on Wednesday night. My friends and I were welcomed by both the guest experience team and other attendees. Worship was phenomenal. So incredible to hear everyone singing. The loft was a bit too warm for us and worship lasted quite a long time as compared to worship during the Sunday service. My friends are student athletes and several of us had to sit down during worship after awhile. Seats in the loft are the type of chairs that are wayyy too close together so you feel like you’re on top of the person next to you. At one point someone next to one of us accidentally hit one of us due to how close we all were. Guest experience team and group leaders were very welcoming and answered as many of my questions as they were able to!I attended the 11:15am service the following Sunday. Worship was good. The message was great! Guest experience team volunteer helped me find a seat. The folks seated around me welcomed me and made me feel included.Afterwards I asked a guest experience team volunteer to connect me with someone who could answer some further questions I had about the history of the church and some concerns and reservations I had prior to attending. I talked with one of the associate pastor’s and the campus pastor who were both open to listen to what I had to say and honest in their responses.I look forward to attending YAM on Wednesday and the service again next Sunday!”

“Pastor Chad is one of the best pastors I’ve had the privilege of learning under. He always keeps God first and politics second, but is not afraid to speak into the current political culture.”

“I read some of the low star reviews on this post and I respect everyone’s opinions. Just my two cents and why I’m giving it 5 stars. Is the church and its staff perfect? NO CHURCH on this earth is perfect; could they improve in some areas? There’s definitely room for ALL CHURCHES to improve; could they use some positive criticism to help them better serve the community? ALL CHURCHES sure could; Does it help to give a bad review based on personal experiences? I guess it may help those who pass their own judgement based on other people’s comments. I think anyone dissatisfied just needs to visit other congregations until they find the one where they feel all is perfect! I truly feel sorry for those who had some bad experiences, this should definitely never be the case within the Christian community, but please know everyone is a sinner, which makes us all imperfect, judgement is not for us to pass, especially when it’s based on things that just don’t meet our own expectations or standards. ! And to make this clear, I am not a staff nor active volunteer.”
