I do not normally post bad reviews but because this was so unjust I feel I must share with others & prevent them from being taken advantage of. Our hot water heater started to leak and we called several places to get quotes. A friend recomended them. We were quoted by Cecil Davis Plumbing Co cost would be between $1200-1500 for a standard hot water heater installation. The other quotes we received from other local companies were in line with this quote. They told us they could come the next day. They came & installed it the next day but then gave us a bill for $2200. Never once did they mention it was going to us most more. No one explained why it was more. After the install, no one was available (at office) to talk to us about this until the next day and instead of trying to work with us, they said if you don't want it we will come pick it up. This is awful customer service. I have been told by multiple companies that the cost should have been $1500-$1600 max, but should have been even lower. This company is conducting BAIT & SWITCH tactics. We do NOT recommend using this company. It has never made sense to me why people are willing to pay hundreds and even thousands of dollars for leads and advertisements to get clients yet fail to understand the value of taking care of the client right in front of them. They not only lost us as clients, but our whole sphere of influence. Both my husband & I meet with clients daily that ask for referrals for services such as this. Very disappointed.

Very disappointed - was quoted between $1200-1500 for new hot water heater. After install was given bill for $2200. Never once mentioned it would cost more. No one was available to talk to us at office until next day. Instead of trying to work with us they told us if we didn't want it they would come pick it up. Very unprofessional. No one deserves to be treated this way. Complete bait & switch. I called around today and spoke with multiple plumbing companies who told us it should have been $1500-1600 max. Do not recommend - feeling screwed over!

My upstairs shower was leaking directly below to our living room ceiling. I re-grouted the shower, hoping that would fix the problem. It did not. So I later called Cecil Davis Plumbing and told them that it seemed like I needed a replacement for my shower pan.Two plumbers came. The head plumber was very friendly and chatty to me, and he seemed to be teaching the Jr. plumber because I heard him tell the Jr. plumber not to turn on the sink faucets or they wouldn't be able to tell if the leak was from the sink faucets or the shower. Anyway, the plumbers turned on the shower and also the bathtub full blast, creating a huge new leak in my ceiling."It's definitively your shower pan," the plumber said. "Call a contractor." Then he gave me the bill.I was shocked they couldn't do it. Their website said they could.It would have been nice had they told me "we only diagnose" when I had made the call.I got another plumber.Service: Shower repair

I called Cecil Davis Plumbing regarding a faulty shut off valve and was hoping to get someone out in the next day or so. He was able to come the same day and arrived within 30 minutes of my call and fixed the valve in a short time! Excellent!

I live in a new construction neighborhood and Cecil Davis is our point of contact in case of issues. I have called dozens of times to get updates on when someone might come out and fix a water leak and am told by the receptionist "I'll let the boss know". I have contacted them multiple times for an issue at my meter and water running down the street. This most recent time it was found that it was on the Town of Apex side of the meter, but they still have not informed me of this! I found out from my builder two days after it was looked at and hundreds of gallons of water have run down the street at my expense. Do not use this Plumber if you like to know what is happening! This is your warning.

We have done business with Cecil Davis Plumbing for more than 15 years and have always been very happy with their level of service and value. Our house is at the age where we're changing out hot water heaters, updating plumbing fixtures, etc and every time we have needed them their technician has been prompt, professional, and got the job done at a very fair price. I once 'strayed' and tried a friend-of-a-friend's plumbing company....was quoted $900+ for the handful of items that needed doing....sent them packing, called Cecil Davis Plumbing and they came out and did the same work for about half the price. Avoid the guys who advertise all the time - you're the one paying for it! Cecil Davis Plumbing is the right pick!

Receptionist wasnt very friendly when I made the call to request service. The expression of "you only get one chance to make a first impression" is true. I decided to call another plumber for our plumbing issues.

Very satisfied with Cecil Davis Plumbing. It was easy to schedule the work, the plumber (Mitchell) was friendly and knowledgeable and did an outstanding job on our kitchen sink, and the cost was very reasonable. We will definitely call them for future plumbing needs and would recommend to anyone in Raleigh.
