Took a truck there to have a pre purchase inspection and they were very honest and upfront with me. They advised me against the purchase and probably saved me a lot of money and trouble. Highly recommended!

I had some issues so I brought my car here for the first time. I have to say, I am extremely happy with the service I received! Tom was so kind, and informative. I have a Ford 450 that the air wasn't coming out forcefully. I called every truck repair possible, nobody would touch it because it was a "camper". Even my own Ford dealer (where I have purchased 8 vehicles over the years) wouldn't help me. I found Capital Auto Repair from a friend. Not only did they fix my issue they did so in less than 24 hours!! AMAZING service, courteous, up front, fair. All the things. I LOVE Capital Auto repair and will never go anywhere else.

Going to go ahead and break from the 5 star review here.. My experience here was a little bit testy. I did arrive early in the hopes of being seen.. The guy originally told me to fill out an overnight thing but he called me about an hour later and told me that my car needed a lot of work. That was fine but I had to explain to the guy that I didn't have a whole lot of money. After a 10 snext hour or so, And me thinking if I should take my car somewhere else, I finally agreed on about $350 worth of work I forget exactly what it was but I remember 350. So when the interest of saving some money I block my own parts And just recently called to see if they could be installed.. Obviously I wouldn't be expecting a warranty of parts purchased elsewhere but I was told that customer parts are not installed by this shop. So I feel that they do good work that's why I'm giving them the 3 stars but the rest of the experience was a little bit down the road of trying to scare the customer into thinking the car is unsafe etc. I can't take away that they do good work but just be prepared if you come here They just might try to get you to spend the big bucks and I consider myself lucky I was able to walk away with a small bill. I'm going to go to another shop to get the remainder of the work my car needs complete, I shook hands with the guy and told him I was going to get what my car needed done done but it looks like I don't have the financial resources to make this shop the one that I go to do that. Should possibly give 4 stars because they were happy to go and show me how things were loose and moving so I don't know much about axles I guess I'll take their word for it I'll get the tires replaced and then see if the problem remains because I'm not an expert on axles and the upsell angle has me just a little bit suspicious. But this place is overall like 3.5 stars out of 5.

I had a very good experience here. Tom was very helpful with answering any questions I had about the pre-purchase inspection process. They were able to get the car I was looking at in the same day and did not take long at all to do a thorough inspection of the vehicle. They found that the car was in mostly great shape besides a missing tail light and one of the passenger door actuators was broken(the motor that locks the door, kind of a big deal and about a $600 repair). I was so thankful that I took the car in to be inspected here prior to buying! The dealership agreed to fix all issues free of charge and I ended up buying the car feeling much more confident about my purchase!

[2012 Toyota Camry, 114K miles]Brought in based on a referral... they had been a long-standing customer and I can understand why:Such a huge relief to find great and reliable service! Brought the car in due to really bad squeaking that made it sound more like a school bus than a car. They promptly identified the problem: front and back brake pads and rotors needed to be replaced. A couple hours later (and for less than $1K) car rolled out without a peep! Thrilled to get rid of the school bus screeches.Tomas and his team are highly recommended!!!!

I have gotta say..I love this place .. I just moved here a few months back looking for a new mechanic and this place was recommended... Had a few things done and they do top notch work.. and if they can't do certain things they will recommend places. Thomas was the man I personally dealt with and I'll deal with him from now on.
