Debit card qualifications to rent a car from them is to have a zero balance on your utility bill and you can't be on a payment plan with your utility company. What does this have to do with renting a car? Companies make it so hard nowadays to do or get anything.

I don't see how a previous balance disqualify you from renting a car when you provide a updated statement of a zero balance owed. I even had my light company directly email you the receipt that the account had a zero balance because the next billing cycle didn't go out until next month and a billing statement couldn't be issued because of how their system is set up. I had this issue yesterday . My driver license as well as having full coverage was all cleared. If a customer is providing a updated statement of a zero balance owed directly from the light company and all the other requirements you require checks, no one should be denied. Your losing money. Please make it make sense

Was denied rental because I had a $0.00 balance on a basic summer Duke Energy installmant plan. Went to Enterprise and was able to get a rental at the last minute. I wasn't told until I got there about no installment plan indication on bill...but there was no amount past due. Everything changed once I got there...?

Generally speaking Capital Auto Rentals has great cars, trucks and cargo vans. they offer 300 miles per day and good daily rates. DO NOT BE LATE with your return. They adhere strictly to policy so its not as if your unaware but there is little flexibility. Because it's a small operation, tgey want their cars back when do so they can resent them. reasonable, yes. It does seem unfair to be called and told to return a car at 930am the day after it was due because it's rented at 10:30, then get charged a full day when you get no added use. That's policy. I'm sure they would like you to keep it a couple hours past it's due time so they can collect Two rentals on one car every time. They make two rentals, your and the new customers but you don't get to use it. Don't be late

I turned my rental in on Saturday, before July 4 with no damage whatsoever. On Tuesday, July 6, they charged me 178.00 for a tire, claiming that it was flat because of nail and had to be replaced. I dispute this claim. If the tire truly had a nail in the side wall as they stated, it would have been flat when I returned it. It would have been cheaper for me to replace it myself. It was not flat. I am not a satisfied customer!

BEWARE...Extremely Disappointed. I asked specifically if they had non-smoking SUVs. I was told that ALL of their vehicle rentals were non-smoking. WRONG.We picked up the rental and within a few minutes noticed a peculiar smell...opened the windows to air it out and then closed up and put the a/c on. It REEKED of smoke. We spent 21 hours in a vehicle with the stench of cigarette or vape smoke. It permeated everything we traveled with including our clothing & suit cases.We wouldn't have rented this car even if THEY paid US the $444.56.Why didn't we simply return the vehicle for another you ask? We were told it was the only SUV available (now we know why) AND, we were on a time constraint.When we returned the vehicle, we asked to speak with the manager and the employee said he was not there today. We asked him to speak about our experience with the manager and to get back with us. And he said he would. That was over one week ago. No communication whatsoever.This was the most disgusting experience we have ever had with a car rental.
