Please be sure the loan officer you work with at this location is truly out for your best interests. My boyfriend and I trusted our first time home buying process to them and we were strung along for 4 months, only to be asked a week before closing to “refinance your auto loan into someone else’s name” to satisfy the debt to income ratio. After receiving a pre qualification letter in 10/21, providing all documentation asked to satisfy conditions advised, paying $3500 in due diligence for a home we made an offer on, $1100 in appraisal and inspection fees, terminating our leases to prepare for closing, the loan officer called 10 days before our closing date to tell us to refinance the aforementioned loan that he was aware of when the application was submitted, continued to advise the alternative documentation for said loan was acceptable, and never eluded to our financing being in jeopardy. Instead he made comments when our realtor would reach out to make sure we were on target to close like “oh i forgot about this loan” and “oh yeah, this loan will be easy”. 3 1/2 months of time, almost $5,000 that we can’t get back, and our plans of starting our lives together gone because of his inability to be thorough, transparent, and have even a genuine concern for making sure he did right by us. Please, I implore you, there are other places you can go to start your homeownership dreams - beware of this location!
