Super helpful and friendly front staff. Brought an injured opossum in and had a very pleasant experience.

The compassion, knowledge, and friendliness at this emergency vet have far surpassed any previous experiences at other vets. Transparency about treatment options and care given to Zucchini made an extremely stressful night less so.

I'm trying to figure out how it was almost $1,000 when we were barely there to receive "critical care" for less than a few minutes before making the decision to help ease her over the rainbow bridge and that the average cost of in-clinic euthanasia is about $80-$190. I understand the costs of cremation. But the rest? I cannot pay my mortgage now because of it and I was never informed what the costs would be other than up to $800 for CPR as stated on your form, but you didn't do that? So where the heck are all the fees coming from? It's extremely disheartening that when one wants to do what's best for their loved one and help them not suffer we end up suffering and puts us into a spiral to lose our homes because of outrageous fees. I feel taken advantage of in an emotional state, and that there wasn't clear communication on the costs of the treatment plan prior to me giving consent. I was never even offered a receipt and we saw the vet, who seemed nice, for only a brief moment then never again. I also felt for a fleeting moment of hope when she said they could transfer her to another emergency vet clinic, but then was told she's so unstable she's probably not going to make it. She didn't state "this is an option but given her state it's not likely to help," she made it sound as if that option would help which seemed unfair to share that option in such a way and give us hope that wasn't there. Made me feel like money in their pocket was the only concern and that they take you for a ton when most vulnerable without clearly communicating upfront what costs will be. I have been in similar situations in the past and NEVER ever has it costs this outrageous of an amount and the doctor was by our side through the entire process. It seemed like the vet tech was running the show and that to me is unacceptable, especially when she expressed little to no empathy in such a difficult time. I don't care what the emergency is, they will not have my business ever again.
*EDIT* After reading other negative reviews, I'm EXTREMELY upset that they were given treatment plan estimates and I was NOT! There was never even a verbal discussion of the fees. This is absolute robbery and unacceptable. One needs to know such things so we can make informed decisions. Because I certainly wouldn't have put my self in a situation where I'm not going to be able to pay anything for months now when she wasn't going to make it. Truly UNETHICAL and sick that they only care about making money. I'll be reporting to the state vet board as this is unacceptable.

I took my dog there because he would not eat. He had not eaten in days. They did all of these tests. Ran up the bill and dismissed me and my dog when they assumed that I ran out of money to spend. The bill was $4,500 and my dog was still not eating. I went to another vet that did the same but that bill was $800. Some regular people who breed Pitbulls saw my distress when I walked out of the vet. They were appauled at how much Emergency Animal Hospital in Raleigh, NC and the other vet took advantage of me and my sweet dog's illness. They looked at him and told me to buy some Pepto Bismol and feed him some plain chicken. The bystander's advice worked! My sweet little guy is happy and healthy but I am still paying off the $5,000 vet bill. BE WARNED ABOUT THIS PLACE and other vets. Pet care is a huge business, and with that comes various levels of corruption. I will say that the nurses were nice to my dog... but I can scratch my own dog's head for $4,500. Never again.
FYI: THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO EXCUSE FOR THIS AND AND ANIMAL EMERGENCY HOSPITAL CAN SAVE THEIR GENERIC MESSAGE TO RESPOND TO MY NEGATIVE 1 STAR REVIEW THAT THEY INDEED EARNED FAIR AND SQUARE.

Yes, certainly Emergency Animal Hospital in Raliegh, NC "treated" my dog. I have the bills to prove it. DO NOT PLAY WITH ME. YOUR VET'S DISHONEST AND PREDATORY PRACTICES LED TO A WELL DESERVED 1 STAR REVIEW!

I have made several visits with my two dogs. This is the only emergency hospital I have ever been not only for It's not just about convenience; it's about the quality of care. Each time I visit, the staff is incredibly kind, compassionate, and attentive. All individuals receive the same treatment from the veterinarian and staff who provide care . A payment plan is available, Vet Billing, which may not be commonly available at your regular veterinary clinic. Everyone knows that any kind of ER visit is going to be expensive, however, they will help you find a way to afford it. Everything is seamless and quality care.

Very expensive (but typical for an emergency vet)! Aside from that- amazing and empathetic, kind staff who are very skilled. Besides the price of care, this vet is fantastic. They showed such kindness and gentleness to me and my bunny, taking time to answer all of my questions. My bunny would have died without their intervention, and is now eating, hopping and begging for food again.

I brought my parrot here late one night after he accidentally broke his leg. The staff was professional and thoroughly explained everything that was going on with my parrot. They were patient with my questions and broke down the cost of treatment which was helpful. They kept me informed throughout my parrot's treatment and even followed up after I had taken my parrot home. I would definitely recommend them!

We took our dog (Tucker) in because he was very lethargic and unable to walk. They ran blood work, and his white blood cell count was very low. The doctor told us that when she sees a count this low, it usually means cancer. We called our daughter's home from college to say goodbye, and we were going to euthanize him the next day. Fortunately, we decided to see Dr. Jon at Magnolia Animal Hospital (Tucker's regular vet). Dr. Jon Dick didn't believe it was cancer. He had a temperature of 105, which is very high for a dog. He put Tucker on an IV along with antibiotics. At the end of the day, his WBC doubled. We did this again the next day, and again, his WBC doubled. On the third day, his WBC was almost normal, and his temperature broke. He is doing great now, back to normal. Lesson learned, always get a second opinion.
A side note: the doctor was very kind when she gave us the news about Tucker having cancer. I know that it is hard to tell any family this news. They did offer an IV and antibiotics, but I felt the doctor was leaning more towards cancer, not an infection. So we didn't do this. It wasn't until Dr. Jon Dick said he wasn't willing to give up on Tucker, that's why we decided to do the IV.

It was a good experience considering how stressful the situation was. The staff were understanding and kind, as well as very good at what they do. My cat seems to be doing well. The person on the phone made it clear how long the wait would be and I was in a room within a reasonable time. They worked with my financial situation and found a solution that worked! Im so thankful for my kitty being happy and healthy again!! (See the before and after of my cats behavior below!! She was acting so out of character and now shes back to her silly self!!)

My new puppy chewed off and swallowed several teeth on a plastic comb. I took her to be seen by Dr. Gale. Both Dr. Gale and Gabby were extremely kind, empathetic, caring and provided excellent care. Options were clearly explained to me and the issue was resolved while I was still there. Couldn’t be any more pleased. Highly recommend!

We came in late on a Friday night, when it was clearly very busy and chaotic. The team was so kind, working in a very difficult situation. Our dog needed surgery, and we got a detailed and patient explanation of everything necessary. No one wants to be in that situation, but I got compassionate and patient explanations and communication every step of the way.

We took my dog during a really stressful time for us as she was really sick. I immediately felt comforted and welcomed by the person who answered the phone to get us in. The vet was super knowledgable and took action steps that we have been waiting on for her for a long time. Jamie made us feel very reassured when we had to leave our dog overnight to be hospitalized. It was clear that the staff genuinely cared about her and they even reached out afterwards to check on her. The staff exuded genuine care and they acted with urgency to help us get answers that we've been waiting on.
