Had an odd issue when I ordered online I ordered a pair of Chelsea boots and got shoe trees instead. Went to the store, to process the return and Lex could not have made it a better experience!! He was kind, knowledgeable and made the process fun and enjoyable! Highly recommend coming here for your shoe needs.

If I could write 10 reviews I would. Lex (at this raleigh location) is one of the nicest most hospitable employees I have ever been able to work with, EVER. Walked me through his thoughts on all the fits and features of the loafers I made on a first time purchase and they came in and fit perfectly. Lex was so patient and eager to help me with all the questions I presented. Lex should be celebrated in some form as you guys are lucky to have him on the team. Thank you Lex and all the staff at AE Raleigh. Thank you!

Thomas is the real deal. Go to him for all of your shoe needs. He fixed a shoe fitting that another store had messed up. 10/10 customer service!

Big Joe helped me pick out a pair of oxfords with matching belts and socks. They fit perfectly and helped me upgrade my style. I'm very thankful of Joe's help. He's friendly and knowledgeable.This Allen Edmonds itself is also just set up in a way that is more inviting than other stores I've visited in the mall. Everything feels well organized and it was easy to find what I was looking for.

Extraordinary customer service at the Raleigh store. Shout out to Thomas who is an awesome SA. I often visit other locations across the US but now do all my purchasing through the Raleigh store and Thomas.

Is this store still open? I've called numerous times & noone answers the phone. I live almost an hour away & have interest in their shoes but don't want to waste my time driving as it seems to be closed. Any help would be appreciated.

For context this experience happened about a year ago - I am a younger person and therefore likely not the usual demographic that purchases shoes in this price range.I purchased a pair of shoes online which arrived with a little discoloration in the sole and a severely damaged box (basically ripped in half) which was likely torn in transit. I went into the store and spoke with an associate, Corey, to see what could be done.Based on the associate's demeanor towards me I could immediately tell he did not think I belonged in the store, and was met with an inconsiderate attitude before I even presented my concerns.I showed the discoloration on the shoe and he responded "What, that? That's no big deal". I stated that I would have liked the product to be delivered in perfect condition and asked for a replacement. He asked to see my receipt and when I showed him he loudly pointed out, as if to announce to the entire store, that I had purchased them on sale and "didn't even pay full price". He checked inventory for a replacement and stated that the color & size I'd ordered was out of stock, which is fine. He then stated I could pay to have the shoes repaired with new soles, which obviously I was not interested in considering I hadn't even worn them yet. He offered to take them to the back and use a heel dressing to try and fix it, which corrected the discoloration about 50%. I also brought up the damaged box and the associate glared at me, and then said that replacement boxes were not available. At this point I gave up and decided to just take my halfway repaired shoes and damaged box and left the store.The heel touch-up was complementary so for this I will leave one additional star even though it only halfway resolved the discoloration. However the service given by the associate was exceptionally poor and I will never return to this store again, and would advise others in the younger age groups not to expect any service here.

The store manager is a great person to deal with. I've been there a few times and he has always dealt with the issue in a polite, professional and no nonsense manner. What I've needed was found every time.

I really like AE shoes for their look and feel, but will no longer purchase products from this company. The last pair of boots I bought from them had the heel come apart after about 5 wears and AE was unwilling to do anything to help me except charge me to repair it. Charging to fix what was clearly a defective product??? No longer a customer.
