Don't go here...I got wavy micro braids and LaLa didn't even braid my real hair all the way through...when I took down my hair, I had to cut off about an inch of my real hair off, just to get the braids out because of the knott tied...she over charged me too....I asked her how much LaLa she took a long to time to answer me,i asked her about 3 4 times before she said 230, she stole from me ,she knows thats wasnt the real price...she was thinking ? of a price to tell me so she could get over on me NEVER again!!!!

I was a walk in, a stylist washed and blow dried my hair and was great, young girl, maybe a daughter or whatever. Anyways, the stylist that braided my hair; work was excellent but the way she was grooming my hair was rude and alarming. Pulled my hair numerous times and kind of slapping my scalp too. I got straight back cornrows with my real hair, charging me $70 wash, $10 fee included for wash. Mind you, my hair isn't that long. Service was rude as hell and y'all taxed me, don't give em nada!

Asked them for a boho bob even showed them a picture and they did what they wanted!!!I asked them to stop braiding where my hair ends! My braids ended up being long as hell! My real hair is shoulder length. SMH I paid $220 for a style I didn’t ask for now!!!I’m going somewhere else to pay more so they can cut and do it right! ??♀️Let’s not mention how one of the stylists talked on the phone forever on speaker in my ear smh this not my first time going an African shop but this salon I will not be back!!

Sorry and I really hate to say it. This place is trash it seem like a beginner hair shop, I know because I do hair. I have forgotten to book an appointment with my usual styles, and every place I checked was a book that day, and I ran across their number. If I did not had an important event the next day I would have made them stop. What is more saddening Is they have the nerve to charge full price as if they are professionals, never again!!!!!!!!!!

Again, Maggie is awesome. I love my hair still 2 weeks later and constantly receiving compliments. Personal conversations may get too loud in the shop, so bring ear plugs. Will be back

Penda/Roots mediocre at best, dishonest sales practices.They’ll quote one price before they start and then another after. Knotless braids feel like regular way to tight. They’ll do what they feel and charge you more in the end. Wolves in sheep’s clothingZERO STARS
