We had an absolutely terrible experience with Toi Jackson at this location. To start, our appointment was delayed as she was busy with another customer and when we did get our turn she was rushed because the office was closing soon. While filing, she said we did not qualify for the child tax credit. We argued with her because we knew we were eligible but she kept insisting so we filed without claiming it. The next day, we printed forms showing we qualify and went back into the building. She said she would file our taxes with claiming the CTC. We paid an additional $60 after their error, for who knows what, and were told it was fixed and given a new federal refund amount. 14 weeks later we still have not received the child tax credit. We tried to contact the IRS via phone, email, online portals for weeks. We finally got a representative who says our taxes were filed with the original information and a new file or amendment was not made with the child tax credit. This has been such a pain and is still not resolved. We will never be using HR block again. We had used their services for 5 years prior without issue with a different tax specialist.

I ran all of my tax information in Turbotax up to the point of submitting to the IRS, before deciding to use a professional service like H&R Block. Went ahead and used H&R Block and received ~$1,000 less than Turbotax would've gotten me. Very disappointed by this and it is unlikely that I'll return. I'll be calling to see if anything can be done about this, but it takes away from the "simplicity" of going through a professional in the first place.Edit: The reason I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1, is due to the overall experience I received from my tax rep (Karla). She was at least professional and did more than I would've expected. I wasn't able to do my taxes in person this year and she made it very easy to get everything accomplished while I was at home. I received a phone call from her well after closing time to let me know she was done. I didn't expect that at all and appreciate that she stayed late to get them done same day.
