I would not recommend taking Hoke Transit if you have somewhere important to on time! They can have you waiting for the bus over an hour or more. The drivers are not to most professional either.

Sadly, Hoke Area Transit is the second best transit in the county. Lyft is actually the best system working in the county if you give them at least a four hour notice. But Lyft tends to do better in Raeford to Fayetteville traffic than Raeford to Raeford traffic. And what is Ironic is that LYFT is really not equipped with professionally trained drivers while HATS has professional drivers. What ever goes on behind the closed doors of HATS offices is not efficiency or customer friendly. And it's not expected the County leaders are going to make any changes to improve service any time soon.

One of the most corrupt counties in the state. Urban sprawl is destroying the the farm and ranch industry and rural culture, drugs and the resultant mental illness and crime is rampant and nothing is being done about it yet property taxes continue to rise. Time to clean out the county government completely and put in all new, honest people.

The driver drives too fast and the seat belts don't fit.

Hoke County is one the best counties in NC. Though I’m a resident of a different county I’ve seen first hand as the county videographer why they are one of the fastest growing counties in the land. I’ve seen the leadership from different backgrounds come together for one cause and that’s to make their community great. You have a board of commissioners work together for the greater good of their residents. When you have leadership on one accord it makes the community a better place to live. Keep it up Hoke County!!!

When the ladies drive you too and from places the wait is not long but when you have to wait on the means you can forget it. You might be waiting an hour or more.

If I could give zero stars, I would. We just moved to Raeford. I'm still in DE to wrap up our house here. My boyfriend needs care at the VA. When I signed him up for this service, they said that I didn't need to worry because they would take good care of him.Yesterday was his second trip. They told him to be ready at 530am and picked him up at 730. He was almost late for his 8am appt. When he was done at noon and called for pickup, they said that it would be 30 minutes. He was picked up at 330. Then, instead of taking him home 10 minutes away, they went and did other pickups / drop-offs in Fayetteville during rush hour. When they were finally on their way to drop him off, they actually drove past our development. It was 7pm before he arrived home.I had attempted to reach him several times in the afternoon, but was unsuccessful. By 6pm, I was really worried. The VA had closed their offices. The HATS office was closed. Our alarm hadn't been disarmed. I was extremely concerned for his well-being and was unable to find anyone to confirm his location. Apparently, they require cell phones to be turned off for the transport.I would suggest that the business model needs to be seriously reviewed. It should not take 7 hours to be returned to home. I do not find that he was take care of and would strongly recommend against using this service.

Hoke county transportation department is sorry. Always late and never drops you off on time.
