This is our third year in a row coming here on our first day in obx. Very well operated. We get a cabana with service every time. We think it’s worth it. Our server was Tara. Amazing energy and service from her. The best server we have had here!

If you are on vacation don't miss this amazing water park. Great for adults teens and the little ones. Great day had by all. You don't just have to be on vacation. Locals come see the world famous water park too. Ps after a day in the water you can have a great hair day as well.

My wife had a bag that was considered insulated. Even though it had no food or drinks in it. Only towels. Even so it was not allowed in the park. Not even allowed to secure it in the locker. Had to drag it back to the car. While at the car it started pouring the rain. Do you think we got any money back. Nope. Over rated, too expensive, and most unfriendly staff I have ever seen at a water park. Don’t waste your money!

I would have given 0 stars but that wasn't an option. That's not really fair because the actual park was awesome. My son is visiting from CT and it's his favorite place to spend the day. What gives it such a low rating is customer service manager KRISTEN and her RAIN OUT policy. We went on Sunday this week and after about 2 hours the weather turned bad. Thunder and lightning caused everyone to have to get out of the water. Because I live half a mile from the park, we got our hands stamped to return, and left to go home and grab lunch. When we came to return, the whole park was closed. I tried calling and left a message to call me back regarding the rain date and never received one. I returned yesterday (2 days later) and was informed by KRISTEN that I apparently should have waited in the lightning and thunder for an hour so that they could reprint me rain tickets. Apparently me bringing the original tickets was unacceptable and I had to pay another 80 dollars to re enter. Not a very good CUSTOMER SERVICE move when your dealing with a local who can see the park from his front yard. I guess trying to make customers happy and want to return is not on their agenda. I guess my advice if it starts storming while your there is to grab onto some metal,
while being surrounded by water, and wait around for KRISTEN to reprint you tickets to return. I wish I had 2 more hands so I could give KRISTEN 4 thumbs down!!!!!!

This water park is the definition of greed. One bottle of water per person, no outside food. Food here is trash and overpriced. Ridiculous rules are made up on the spot and enforced without any prior mention. I was scolded like a child for a minor issue. Staff is insufferable and shirts food and everything in between is low quality and overpriced.

All the spaces are very good to go with the family. I recommend it, the food prices are excellent and I recommend bringing flip flops because of how hot the floor gets.

I have been a season pass holder since this park H2OBX opened. Every year I purchase season passes for not only myself but for my wife and my 2 children (now 3 children but one is under the age of 2). In April I acquired about obtaining season passes for the entire family. This is before the park opened for the season. I was told the office had select dates and those office hours would be posted, they never were. In the beginning of June my family moved from Kitty Hawk to Kill Devil Hills (both on the outer banks). Things were hectic but my brother came to visit with my nephew and they wanted to go to the waterpark. On this date, the line for season passes was about five families deep. I paid our admission at the admissions counter and directly asked, “ Can I utilize today’s receipt for my season pass later?” The cashier stated, “I don’t know, this supervisor is the person to ask.” The supervisor directly told me, “ you can come back with your receipt and price of the receipt will be deducted.” I thought this was great because I had 4 kids dying to get inside H2OBX. Fast forward to today. I am watching my 1 year old and since he never has been to H2OBX, I decided to take him. I went to guest services/season passes and was ready to buy 4 season passes discounted $40 each because this is what I was told by a waterpark supervisor. H2OBX made me pay full price for the season passes. Their promotion says, “Use today’s admission for a discount on a season pass.” It doesn’t say it needs to be the same day. As a supporter of H2OBX since they came into business (I have every season pass since they came into business) and spent countless dollars on food and merchandise in their gift shop, I am appalled by their lack of recognition of the locals who support their business. If I was told by the supervisor it needed to be that day, I would have had my brother watch the kiddos and would have stranded in line. I bought the season passes for myself and the kids but next season we will head to VA beach and Williamsburg VA and support those water parks. What should have been a $120 season pass turned out to be $160 x 4.
The owner then commented on my post stating, “The season pass processing dates are just for passes already purchased. They are not a time to purchase season passes.” I’ve added a screenshot of my simple question to either him or his staff member. It’s direct evidence that either him or his staff will post dates when to purchase tickets and get pictures prior to them opening for the season.
This is further evidence of my review. I was directly told by his/her supervisor that I could return at a later date, with my receipt, to get a the discounted rate from my single day purchase for a season pass. At this point I need to provide the proof that this is what I was told. I was told that I could purchase the season passes (as evidence by my screenshot) and I was also told I could return with my receipt for a discount on the season pass, I was not told I needed to purchase the same day. I wouldn’t lie about this or make this up. I don’t ever post negative reviews of businesses but when I feel like I am being directly lied to TWICE, I take that personally and I don’t want others to feel manipulated either. Though you say you “value your customers/season ticket holders” you actions prove otherwise. My children come first and they have fun At H2OBX so please save the passive and corporate “thanks for being a season ticket holder again this year” because if it wasn’t for my kids, I wouldn’t be.

Small Waterpark with slides & attractions for all ages. Perfect for a day of fun when the ocean is too rough for the kids.

I was honestly skeptical the 1st time I ever went, that I would have fun, but I had so much fun that I recommend it to everyone! And I let them know that the price is worth it. My family and I just went back a 2nd time and had a blast. I believe visiting this waterpark has become our new family tradition when we come to the Outer Banks.

Haven't had a bad experience yet...sometimes the vendors get a little moody but who wouldn't in 100 degree weather dealing with tourists all day long!?

This was our 4th trip here and is definitely an OBX vacation tradition going forward. Great, friendly staff. Everything was clean and working. We always rent a cabana to escape the sun when needed. I do wish that the Cabana menu would expand to the rest of the restaurants/ bars on site. You pay a premium for that service but don't get much extra. We ended up going to the other restaurants on our own to get the food we wanted.

The park seems to be falling apart even after the doors just opened after 6 months closed. I was eating lunch sitting at one of the round white tables leaning in to eat over my plate. I didn’t realize the table was rusted and the paint all bubbled and jagged around the edge and it chafed my brand new bathing suit and it’s basically ruined now. I brought this to the customer relations lady and she said she’ll pass along the info. I mentioned to her that the faucets were loose in the bathrooms and a few other maintenance issues I noticed. She didn’t really seem bothered. She offered no compensation for the fact that my brand bathing suit is ruined from the rusty ragged table. I am a pass holder, I feel like I should have been offered something. What a shame that the park has been opened for a week and simple maintenance items weren’t taken care of during the winter.

Our family has loved H2OBX since it first opened. Seven years later and it’s still a blast! If you are local, the season pass is totally worth it and BONUS… with that season pass you also get a discount on food and merchandise! I know the food had seemed a bit lacking after Covid, but they have definitely made some changes in the quality and it is SO good this year! We’ve had pizza, burgers, chicken tenders, fries and wraps so far and everything has been fresh and wonderful!
