I am in real estate with Keller Williams in western NC and needed a trailer on short notice. The staff was extremely friendly and had us hooked up and out in minutes. It was a great experience and we will use them again.

My husband and I went to Area Storage to purchase a box and the manager (RW) was not wearing a mask but made my husband and I stand outside in 40 degree temperatures until he finished with another customer who was not wearing a mask. This employee (RW) is very rude every time we go in there to make a purchase. Will not be going back to this business and will make sure I tell friends, family and neighbors about how rudely we were treated.

What’s the point of paying extra for climate control if half of our belongings have moisture damage from the huge crack in the back of the unit? Oh also the dozens of brown recluses were a nice touch. It’s a good thing my kid didn’t get bit. Oh yeah. How about the roach eggs on EVERYTHING? Buyer beware this place.

Very easy to rent a U-Haul truck and spaces for outside storage BUT they are very dishonest not having cameras throughout their facility, or reporting vehicles being pulled without the owner pulling it! My utility trailer was pulled, used with damages of a whole in the roof and electrical connection tore up when it obviously was not properly connected during the illegally usage of the trailer! My 2 vehicle, a camper had the propane hose broken twice losing an almost full tank of propane and the front of the camper wall dislodged. Forced to file a Breach of lease/contract lawsuit against Area Self Storage!

Don't return phone calls in a timely manner. Tried to rent a van and was told he was done writing rental for the day one hour before closing. I rented there once but will never do business there again. Rude people.

The facilities are very nice and well maintained and the staff is always friendly and accommodating. My only complaint is that our rent keeps increasing and has gone up almost twice a year for the last few years. We are now paying 30% more for the same unit that we have been in for the last 3 years. It's tough because we can either move out or pay the higher rates.
