Visited for the day with the turkeys tour and it’s such a beautiful and peaceful property with precious furry and feathered friends. It’s wonderful to hear all the residents stories and how they now get to live out their lives how they deserve. The volunteers are very nice and welcoming. I highly recommend anyone taking the time to visit and support their mission.

Been a part of the Refuge for years. Amazing people doing amazing work. Lots of events: tours, cooking classes, art shows, potlocks, etc. Lots of volunteer opportunities. Great way to learn new skill and meet new people, especially vegans!

I love Blackberry ❤️ If you want some cuddles from him, just give him some belly rubs! Overall, the Refuge is a great place and has great people running it/volunteering. I have volunteered, attended cooking classes, tours, galas, and other events they have run. I appreciate their commitment to rescuing farm animals and sharing veganism with others.

This refuge is a beautiful place, where the resident animals' welfare is clearly the top priority. The animals aren't just fenced in a pasture - much thought has gone into spacing, keeping natural elements like trees and water features in the spaces, and enrichment opportunities for all species. It is a clean, well kept farm, definitely worth a visit!

Had an amazing tour of this beautiful sanctuary. Fed and pet many happy, friendly animals, and then ate a snack at their picnic area. Blackberry the turkey was especially happy to see us.

Piedmont is AMAZING! Definitely go out for a tour and get to meet all of the animals, feed them, interact with them, and **hear their rescue stories!!** They also do fun events, too, that are always worth going out to see. Cooking classes, galas, movie nights, and more. I love the refuge and all they do for their animals. Everything there is always fully vegan so no worries there.

I absolutely love this place! They have an amazing mission and an incredible group of volunteers who are so friendly. The animals are of course the best part - each with their own story and personality!

Come visit Todd the greedy goat and Blackberry the Turkey at the Piedmont Animal Refuge! They'll even give you treats to help facilitate the friendship (The goats especially love snacks). You'll learn about the animals past and how they live at the refuge. Surrounded by the pastoral landscape fit for a barn wedding you can also enjoy a treat from one of the food trucks. It's a worthwhile Saturday morning activity. They also have volunteer activities available and do private tours if you really fall in love.

Had a wonderful experience here recently. I attended a vegan cooking class the was out of this world! Delicious food in a wonderful outdoor pavilion. Mercedes was our chef and did an outstanding job. Then we got to tour the facility and meet some of the precious furry residents. Highly recommend skipping the zoo and supporting this amazing facility and their mission.

The owners of this Refuge Farm are doing great things for all the animals they have. They’re in good hands and get the best treatment and life they should have received. This is a must visit for any ages. You can do tours and they have workers and volunteers to give you amazing facts about the animals here. You might learn a new thing or two which I did about goats. Always learning which i love. Great experience! See for yourself and you’ll be pleasantly surprised at the feeling you get when you’re there and when you leave!

The Piedmont Farm Animal Refuge provides care to rescued animals. The sanctuary is home to goats; sheep; turkeys; chickens; ducks and geese. During the pandemic, the refuge is offering tours by appointment only and you must wear a mask. The limited slots fill up quickly so if you'd like to visit make sure you buy a ticket. When you arrive on the farm and check in, you are given an overview of the farm and a map. They provide treats for the animals as well for you to feed the animals. Volunteers were available at each of the animal homes to share the stories of their rescues and get a feel for their personality. I really enjoyed my tour and learned about the refuge and these animals. I am glad they found a forever home and are well taken care of. If you can score a ticket to the next tour, it was a great experience. You can wander around as long as you'd like during the tour time. They have a food truck and picnic tables if you'd like to get a bite to eat during your visit.
