Horrible "lifetime warranty" because you will wait a lifetime to get it replaced. They do not respond well to emails and won't answer your calls. I have been waiting 3 weeks on them, and the battery I have from green bean has been on the car a year and 23,000 miles on it then bam! It went out and we are out of service. They are QUICK to SELL you one but after that, you are at their mercy. I hope to hear back on a class action lawsuit being filed. This is unethical business and people shouldn't be done this way. My advice is RUN, don't walk, to a Toyota dealership to get a battery. They aren't as expensive as you think and they will get you on the road within a day, no more than 2. My family is suffering greatly because of their lack of fulfilling their warranty and not communicating as to how long they are going to drag this out. Please, please please, don't put yourself through this needless scam of a company. This is our only primary vehicle and we are stuck waiting until who knows when, because they won't tell you. May God recompense them for this evil!

So, this was a big deal. We love that stupid Prius and there are so many new EV choices to temp us to move on when the big scary warning lights come on. The local, non-dealer, shop estimated $4000 for the repair with a 1 year warranty...more than we have spent on the lifetime of the car.
A little research brought us to Green Bean.
Literally 1/3 the cost, lifetime warranty for the battery....Next day delivery! The sales person was incredible at answering all my questions and setting up the appointment. The installer was right on time, knew what he was doing, took perfect care of our baby
New life for our 2004 Prius and back to 48Mpg!
This was the best deal I could find for the price and warranty and I could not be happier with what the outcome. 5 stars!
EDIT: 3 year update: Still going strong. Zero issues. This Prius will last forever!

Quick and easy process for less than half of what the dealership quoted me. Kenny came out to replace the battery and finished quicker than I ever could've expected and was nice and professional.

They are very quick to selling a battery, but very slow with replacing faulty ones.
My green bean battery failed 6 days ago (6/5/24) (after lasting less than a year). I contacted their warranty department and they said they can replace the battery, but said: "due to low inventory in the area, they cannot give an estimate of when this will be".
Since then, I have not had any updates. I can't reach anyone on the phone. Calling the warranty department is useless as they now operate as a call back model.
How long do I have to wait to get a new battery?
UPDATE 6/11/24: I was contacted by Green Bean Battery that the inventory has been restocked and I should receive a battery on Saturday (6/15/24). Once this occurs, I'll update this review. This has been very stressful as I really need to be using my car as soon as possible.
UPDATE 8/14/24
GB replaced my battery in 6/15/24. It lasted 10 minutes and failed. Luckily they were still there and it was replaced.
On 8/9/24, my battery died again. This time stranding my car 140 miles from home. My warranty was accepted, but no timeline for when it will be replaced. It's now been 2 weeks.

Green bean is clearly faking google reviews.
Also they are now rated D- on BBB (one away from the lowest possible rating).
Here is a summary for how long each of their batteries lasted (which they claim work 98% of time time)
8/11/21 - 7/10/23: 22 months
7/15/23 - 6/6/24: 10 months
6/15/24 - 6/15/24: 10 minutes
6/15/24 - 8/9/24: 1 month

My technician, Chioke Hansom, was incredible! He was professional, courteous, and quick. I couldn't believe my car was up and running again in no time at all and all at a fraction of the price the dealership wanted to charge me. I've used Green Bean before and, if I ever need to, I'll request their services again! Thank you Chioke!
