The best shop around

I feel so fortunate that I was able to do business with Ed's Auto Collision. I met some incredibly knowledgeable people, learned from them, and saved myself around $10,000.
Both Ed and Shanda were a revelation, I thought they were so impressive.
This shop must have the most highly-skilled crew in the Triangle. Two companies I contacted didn't have the technical ability to take the commission, and another wanted over four times the amount that Ed's Auto Collision quoted me.
They do such beautiful work here.

I just suffered from using this company to repair my VW CC. These guys work at being rip-offs and nothing else. When I tried to get my problem addressed they kept trying to make it my fault. When I complained that their paint job did not match the rest of the car, the guy that painted it said: "did you pay for shade matching?" This was a $1,250 repair on a white car and he dodged his duty to at least try to match the paint. This is only a small part of the complaints including that they lost parts from my car, and left the job incomplete. This shows that they don't care about the quality of their work. I learned a lesson here and I recommend staying away from these folks.

Really good experience at this place. Had an airbag issue in my car and needed the passenger seat replaced. Took me weeks calling around and finally my regular mechanic referred me here. Places were quoting me $1-2k (or more). Ed's had me fixed up in a day for a cool $350. Really friendly people as well. Before I found Ed's, I took my car to a Nissan dealer as a last resort, but they couldn't easily fix the issue and quoted me more than $4000 (not joking) to fix the sensor.Thank you Ed's!

Beware! I was rear-ended and needed body work and a repaint. At first I was impressed. Initially they were communicative and positive but they had my car for two months making me have to beg insurance to let me keep my rental car and then they did a rush job in the end in the last hours of the extension. The new paint started peeling within two weeks, and I discovered that they hadn’t even bothered to use primer. They did not replace all of the trim work, leaving tiny holes in place of what used to be emblems. The trunk would not open unless I drive the car around and hit a bump, and the keyhole to the trunk starting sinking into my trunk. The tail light sometimes doesn’t work! The antennae sometimes won’t go down. These are just some -some- of the issues my car has had since their repair directly related to the poor quality of the repairs. Like finding a body shop hammer underneath the clamped on battery after after having the battery slide around in the trunk stranding me on the side of the road and having to miss a birthday dinner and wait for triple A for 2 hours and ride back in the tow truck since none of us had the tools to address the issue. And oddly, because I’m nice, I was being understanding about that! It was before I discovered that my paint was going to peel. I spoke with the head mechanic, and he was very nice and apologized. But when I called the next day to find out if my car was ready, the owner began yelling and me and called me a liar, claiming the body shop hammer was mine (seriously?? ) told me he would not repair anything, clearly trying to intimidate me. He did not know that his head mechanic and I had already spoken and his mechanic had already acknowledged their mistake and repaired it already. Even then he would not apologize. And That was before I discovered all these other problems!! Huge problems! Maybe he wouldn’t yell at a man like that? But he certainly felt comfortable yelling at me as a woman. I would suggest even though their office person is a woman that women not take their cars here. And if you’re a man, and you do decide to take your car there, be prepared to watch dog and Check everything everything really well before you leave with your car. Not even using primer on a paint job? That negligence has to be intentional!(Including here a picture of the -start- of the paint peeling; it spread from there.)By the way MAKE SURE they give you a receipt! They hand wrote my receipt on red construction paper, even though I requested an itemized receipt She promised me she would email me a real receipt but never did. And regardless of insurance watch out for unauthorized repairs. She charged me for something I thought the remaining insurance would cover since a large part of what they claimed on the insurance ended up not being necessary. I ended up paying for the additional repair even though I did not authorize it because I did need it, but it was not lost on me that they took that liberty. Be cautious and insist on an itemized receipt -before- paying. Red hand written construction paper receipts I don’t mind from someone I really trust, but in this case given the realization that they didn’t do all the repairs they submitted to the insurance company, I can’t help but wonder if it was intentional.Services: Auto power window repair

Our Toyota Camry was rear ended and Ed's Auto Collision did a fantastic job doing the repairs. Shanda was prompt, courteous and professional. Ed's auto installed a new bumper, repaired the vehicle, matched the color and vehicle was cleaned up from inside and out. Whole experience from dropping the car until pick up was top notch. Totally worth the drive from Raleigh to Pittsboro go get a great quality job. They earned 5 stars and my recommendation.Service: Body & Trim
