Clean, organized, but just not a lot of employees working. I think the ladies/girls who work in cosmetics should be a contact that can reach out & notify when someone is waiting to be checked out. But if she's not busy, she should assist if possible.

Stepped into a time capsule in this place! Felt like I was in an old department store with 2000’s era cloths. Who shops here! Stay far away, if you are into fashion at all!

Tell me how my daughter who would’ve been there for a yr on 04/16, and who was rewarded for being one of the associates in the store for getting the most credits, emails, etc was fired???? She has rewards printed out for such I can show to prove that? She was fired for not getting credits, etc, which she has received rewards for in the past and was even looked at for a future management position? But yet the new manager gave the position to someone who she trained and then picked on her….Hmmmmm?

Their debit machine wasn't working, I put my card in 6 times, my husband put his card in twice (same account). I was kind of joking with the cashier saying, "Am I going to have 10 transactions taken out of my bank?" LOL Well, there wasn't 10 but there was 2. We went back to Belks the next day (25 minutes away) because the amounts were done "processing" and they actually cleared my account. I got the "run around" while we were there ( the amount was under $15.00) can you believe that I got the run around for a "double" transaction for under $15.00? Well, we did!!! They told us to wait a week to see if the charge comes off. WRONG ANSWER! We were not about to have to go back, another 25 minutes for $11.53 So I called my bank (this is now the principal of the issue, not the money). My bank put the money back in our account, she told me that we should not have to wait a week to see if the transaction falls off our account so she started a claim....yes folks $11.53. SO the best part of this review is while they were bickering with us, some young guy went bolting out the front door with about $300.00 worth of dress clothes (pants and a lot of shirts)! Now that is called Karma. We LOL all the way home! They acted toward us like they were in power (over $11.53) and we were crumbs! So now, I am going to return my $106.75 gift box of Estee Lauder Pleasure Cologne to them. I purchased that first at the cologne counter and the baby gift at another register! I just should return both!!! Way to go customer service department (manager/general manager)! If I was the general manager, I would have refunded one of the two transactions and apologize for any inconveniences that it had caused!

I've not been in this store for a while. The clothes used to be poorly sewn and not very good quality. I went to the Belk in brevard yesterday and was shocked that it is worse than before. The buyer, buyers, have no sense of style. Really awful selections. It's really sad. And they have moved to the dreadful jc penny pricing structure. We know how that went. I miss the old, truly southern, Belk. Adieu Belk.

If you're under the age of 40 this is not the Belk for you. Go to the Hendersonville one, it's worth the 25 min drive.
