“Friendship Animal Hospital came to our rescue.
My dog and I are staying with friends in Pineville as our home in Asheville has no water or power. Pearl was overdue for her monthly Librela shot as our Vet was in a similar predicament.
My friends recommended Friendship, I called Thursday morning but had doubts about being able to get Pearl an appointment soon. I noticed that Pearl starts to labor more as the shot’s due date approaches.
Anna Marie answered my call, she was very understanding and wonderful, working us in later that morning. The Vet Tech who assessed Pearl was equally wonderful and helpful. I wish I could remember his name. Doctor Premo graciously gave Pearl an exam and the Librela shot. Everyone from start to end of our visit was caring and empathic of our situation.
Pearl improved later that afternoon and one of my friends made note of her improvement.

“We were very nervous cat parents. Two years with our previous Vet, and they never once showed kindness or compassion to our pets. He even tried to convince us that both our cats, especially sweet Ánica, were difficult, and violent. They are now both very scared to go to the doctor.
What a great visit with our new Vet Dr Dane Curtsinger. He was kind and gentle, and explained everything we needed to know, and laid out our options for Ánica’s asthma condition.
Dr Dane recommended a good treatment plan, and Ánica had a wonderful time! She wasn’t nervous, she loved everyone she met, (especially her new Doctor), and everyone loved her!
This was such a nice visit, we honestly look forward to our next one. Thank you Dr Dane and the staff at Companion AnimalHospital.

“I have been coming to South End vet since I adopted my first cat in 2020 and have always been satisfied! We’ve seen a couple different doctors over the years and I’ve always been happy with my experience, but this most recent visit we saw their newest addition, Dr. Upton, and I was blown away. First off, they were able to fit both my cats in together for a joint check-up which was super convenient. And secondly, Dr. Upton was an absolute gem of a vet. It felt like he truly cared about the well-being of my kitties, even though he had just met them. He answered all of my questions no matter how silly and was so great at putting things into perspective so that I could understand more about my pets. Even the way he talked TO my cats during their physical exams, and not just about them, was just so kind and heartwarming. This morning, our dog came in from her usual morning routine and her face was swollen. She’s 13 and I was panicking. Wedding Animal Hospital was the closest vet so we went there first. The staff was kind and understanding as I sobbed worried that my girl was not going to make it. FFWD, Dr. Walker was great. She talked us through everything, helped Lexi get stabilized and gave us instructions and medication. We were never pressured into anything and felt comfortable asking questions.
