Hi this REI store manager is really rude I buy hoka shoes $177 after 4 month shoes is damage I can return until 1 year. But I lost my receipt and I already talk to hoka company they bank statement is fine but this REI manager doesn’t accept bank statements she really really rude if hoka company say okay she can’t avoid. Never again! This shoes also very bad only 3 month is damages!

When they dropped all the support for veteran owned companies and decided they would become political they lost me as a LONG TIME customer. I will never again darken the door of and REI Store. You all are what is wrong with America and people need to understand you despise Veterans and the US Constitution.

REI does it again. Went here to have my tire changed on my mtb. When I came back to the store to pick it up after about 1 hr, I walked past and greeted the guy who worked on my bike on the way to the counter. He said nothing to me about my bent wheel and had another associate check me out. This associate then calls some other lady over who tells me my wheel is bent and asks me if I want to buy another one through REI. After thinking, "Hell no" in my head, I said "I'll just bend the rim back myself" (a very small dent) as I've done before on my other bikes. She proceeds to tell me that the wheel has to be replaced and some other nonsense about the structural integrity etc.... Alloy wheels can definitely be repaired. I should have just changed the tire myself.. Not sure if she was lying or just incompetent, but I can't wait to see what kind of prices they quote (i asked them to send me a quote). REI is such a pathetic organization with way overpriced products and staff that has no clue about the products they sell.

I love coming to because I always receive great customer service. The employees are friendly and very knowledgeable with the product REI sells! I love their return policy as they allow customers to try their shoes and if they don’t work out, you can return or exchange a shoe. This is great because it allows customers to see if the shoe is a great fit or not.

I have shopped at this REI location for years but the staff quality has gone down hill recently. I tried to return a pair of shoes and pants (in like new, barely used condition) today and was denied by a very rude cashier. Wish I had gotten his name. I was told "finding an item (pants, shoes) in the store that I like better does not qualify a return." WHAT??? This is the whole cornerstone of REI's "100% satisfaction guaranteed or your money back" return policy! I went to another REI location immediately and made the return with no hassle. The staff here CLEARLY need some training on store policies. I spoke to the manager (who was very polite and warrants the second star) seeking clarification and she told me "you can't return something just because you don't like it." Sheer incompetence. I will not be back to this location.

Not friendly no greeting when entering and multiple employees walking around not helping guests. No one upstairs near the bikes and when he did appear just on the phone…. This store is just cold with customers.

I came to this REI looking for a single person sleeping bag that was rated for cooler temperatures for camping in sub-freezing weather. I already had a particular one in mind, and when I got to the sleeping bag section, Terri was very helpful in finding the model and making recommendations for staying warm. I wanted to write a long and dramatic review about how great and informative Terri was, but you will just have to go see for yourself! She has hiked the entirety of the Appalachian Trail and I trust her opinion of outdoor products over any other associate I’ve met in an REI. She was kind, patient, and very easy to talk to.
If you live in the Charlotte area or are just passing through, this is the location to stop at for great advice and an honest opinion on outdoor gear. And just in case anyone is wondering- my Big Agnes Anthracite 20 Sleeping Bag- Women’s Regular has kept me warm in some of the coldest weather I’ve ever camped in!

Interesting hear, pretty good service. In the 30-45 minutes I was there, I was approached by 5 different employees checking to see if I needed help. The gals in the shoe section were especially helpful.Only downside, came here to see the selection of Kuhl pants - none in my size in hand. Understandable as this is a small REI.
