I would like to give this place a -5!! My dog died and 2 EXPERTS say he should have been on meds a year earlier to have given him more life!! Please if you love your animals take them as far away from this place as you can. Don't have what happened to my dog happen to yours!! My lawyer is looking into the vet notes and bloodwork for my dog now. Nothing will bring him back and it is my mistake for staying with a vet who can't put aside his own ego to admit he doesn't know evetything!!!!

Friendship Animal Hospital came to our rescue.
My dog and I are staying with friends in Pineville as our home in Asheville has no water or power. Pearl was overdue for her monthly Librela shot as our Vet was in a similar predicament.
My friends recommended Friendship, I called Thursday morning but had doubts about being able to get Pearl an appointment soon. I noticed that Pearl starts to labor more as the shot’s due date approaches.
Anna Marie answered my call, she was very understanding and wonderful, working us in later that morning. The Vet Tech who assessed Pearl was equally wonderful and helpful. I wish I could remember his name. Doctor Premo graciously gave Pearl an exam and the Librela shot. Everyone from start to end of our visit was caring and empathic of our situation.
Pearl improved later that afternoon and one of my friends made note of her improvement.
Thank you all at Friendship Animal Hospital!

I brought my cat Sarah in at the beginning of the week. The staff were great, the exam was thorough, and they took xrays.
They gave me a referral to Care Animal Hospital for further care.
Sarah has been on medication and unable to urinate on her own. I was terribly worried and called Friendship Animal Hospital earlier today to tell them the situation. They told me to bring Sarah in right away. They expressed her very full bladder, and Sarah is now safe and resting. The staff did the procedure with me in the room so that I could observe them so that I could do it now myself and not have her in discomfort. They took their time to explain and also told me to call with any questions and to absolutely call to make an appointment to come in if I have any issues doing it for Sarah.
Sarah and I would like to thank the entire staff at Friendship Animal Hospital for their service and kindness.

Not a great experience. Was overcharged on a few things before my most recent visit. Had taken my pet for a soft tissue infection and they charged $350 and just shaved the area and did a "clip and clean" with antibiotics. My cat had a fever still.
I had received my pet back and the infection was still there by her tail, very painful.
I took my cat back to the vet here and explained this to the vet nurse who took me seriously.
I showed and re explained to the doctor and he proceeds to squeeze the abcess on my cat and also then says that wasn't here before. Mind you I shaved the area before taking the cat to the vet....
You then proceed to be rude in the vet office to me and be "dominate" when I am telling you left my pet in pain.
This is a poor rationalization of basically not treating my cat, leaving my pet in pain, and additionally over charging me for what you wanted me to think you did something.
The best part? I was charged another $36 dollars for lasering after I told y'all didn't do your job.
Never coming back her again brother, the vet doctor is not great. Thank you vet nurse for taking me serious.

I had to board my dog because I needed to go out of town for my brother's funeral. My dog has diabetes and requires 2 shots of insulin per day. He also has dry eyes and allergies. He was at this vet hospital for 4 days. I gave them my cell no, plus they had a phone no for 2 friends of mine in case of any issues. When my friend picked him up on Monday he called me at work and said that Toby had not had his insulin injection, and his eyes were very bad. My dog does not like shots, which is why I got the Comfort-In needle free system. I knew that they would be using needles but apparently Toby tried to bite them when they tried to give him the injections. Therefore in 4 days Toby only got 2 injections. They also said that he didn't like getting his eyes cleaned. It took several days of being back home for Toby to start feeling normal again. I got a call from them this past Monday to tell me that due to Toby's health issues they would not be able to board him again. I told the person who called not to worry, I would never take him back there again. I do not understand why they couldn't care for him, after all do they not have vets in that place that could have helped to give him his injections and care for his eyes? Also why wasn't myself or Gayle(one of my friends) called? They just didn't care. I guess they are fine with healthy dogs, but if your dog has any medical conditions avoid this place!!! They do not care!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can’t offer enough thanks to this animal hospital. I was in a bind and my dog got rejected at his boarding appointment for a vaccination that had just expired. They took us in without an appointment on an extremely short notice. The Veterinarian was great, but Anne Marie was the most amazing staff EVER. She got me in and out the door within 15 minutes and offered to board my dog so that we could make our flight. It was seamless and we wouldn’t have made it without them. So THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!! Needless to say, we found our new forever vet! Prices are also reasonable for the quality of care.

I cannot say enough kind words to describe the entire staff and how well they took care of my cat, Sam. She had to stay the night for her surgery and I was able to take her home the next day. The staff is very knowledgeable and caring. The doctor did a great job with her surgery. He sent her home with some pain medication since it was an extensive procedure. I highly recommend Friendship Animal Hospital for all your fur-baby needs. Thank you again!! Sincerely Conny Latta
