By far the best Budget location in Charlotte. Very courteous staff. All of them. Very efficient and knowledgeable. The manager definitely shows his appreciation for your business that you bring. I have nothing but great things to say about the Carolina place mall Budget location.

This place is a joke. Had a confirmed prepaid reservation for a minivan to move my son into his dorm, arrived at 5:50pm and the location was closed, locked and lights out. NOT ACCEPTABLE! Unfortunately I didn’t see the reviews before making the reservation here and now see this is a common complaint. I will be filing a complaint with the corporate office. What is the point of a confirmed reservation if the office can just close early with no notice? Pathetic!

I hope I spell everyone’s name correctly, but they’ll know who they are. Nia, Elsie, and Tatiana were excellent! I came in with a reservation, but they did not have the card that was necessary for me so they provided me with what they had and I was pleasantly surprised! These women were Superb in the professionalism and their demeanor great job and I’ll be back!Mr Fikes

Yes Googlei was at budget car rentalbut i was dealing with the AVIS side& yesi have goood things to reporti actually have grrrreat things to reportdig this . . . . .i was having transmission probs & needed a dependable car to appear. The crew in pineville had a corolla for me. they actually gave me keys to a couple cars & said go pick one. the other cars i drove WERE NICER but i had been driving a corolla & knew where all the buttons were)i kept the rental longer than expected, the tag expired on Jan1 & the corolla needed to be exchanged. no prob > they had a camry waiting for me.i wasn't looking forward to this.the last camry i rented drove better than my corolla, its heavier & its gas mileage was worse.wait a minutethis 2020 Camry SE is averaging 40m/g (my corolla only got 28>32 m/g)hmmmmmi think i want one of thesei took the VIN from the rental to the local dealership to find out what its specifics arei found out& i still want onethe hickory dealership didn't have a camry on the lot & gave me an outrageous price for one that would be in sooni went to the statesville dealership, they had 10+ on the lot & made me an offer i couldn't refuse; even after travelling to the next dealership closer to charlottesoThank You Avis Pinevilleyou made my rental process extra easy & helped me to find a new camry & with a very positive rental periodA Special Salute ToNiyya, Patrick & Tatiana for your help during the recent rental term

Stay far away. This location is the worst experience ever in renting a car. After waiting over an hour because they had no cars at my reservation time, they gave me a car that smelled horribly like smoke. I had no option but to take it as they were closing and there were no other rental places to change to. They told me to come back and exchange the vehicle for a non-smelly one, so I went back and ended up waiting over an hour for a replacement. I also wanted to extend my rental agreement and they agreed, told me the amount, and had me verify the replacement car was ok. After almost 2 hours of waiting they said they were trying to charge my credit card over $1400. Keep in mind the extension fee quoted was $665 a couple days prior, he today said it would be $674, and now here he is trying to charge over $1400. Turns out he had cancelled our previous contract and wrote a new one. He then added a hold fee, a SECOND deposit/hold (the previous one is still on my account). Since he chose to cancel our contract and write a new one, he was now adding an underage fee (that was waived per a membership code on the original contract). He now says he can't honor that as he is "already doing us a favor by honoring the price we were quoted" BY HIS COWORKER! So while I am trying to resolve this with him, HE GIVES THE CAR WE WERE SUPPOSED TO BE TAKING TO SOMEONE ELSE!!! Unbelievable. We are now stranded with no car for the week as they had no other cars and he knew that. All we wanted was a car that was "smoke free" per our original reservation and to extend that same reservation and THIS INCOMPETENT person completely botched the whole thing. On top of it, he then tried to tell us that WE told him to cancel the first contract and start a new one. Um, NO!! So much for honesty, integrity, and customer service. You are in business to do one thing - rent cars - and that you could not even do. In addition, in the 3-4 hours spent in this little office from pick up day and again on what was supposed to be exchange day, it is very clear this is a regular problem at this location. They do not honor their reservations, they don't have cars for you when you arrive for your reservation, and they do not provide the service they are in business to provide. Numerous customers were very frustrated and upset with them as well. This is clearly an ongoing issue. I only wish we had read these reviews prior to renting there - looks like the same thing has been going on for 5+ years. Don't be swayed by the few decent reviews - STAY FAR AWAY!!!

This place was absolutely horrible. They don’t give you the 35% off that they promise you for being a first time renter, the hold they put on your card is more than they tell you, even though the website says it takes certain credit or debit cards, they do not and they didn’t have a car ready for me even though I had reserved it weeks before. The lady’s working in the office were rude and not helpful at all. I would definitely never use this place again or recommend it at all.

This was by far the best rental car experience I’ve encountered. I needed a last minute rental and they did not disappoint. The two young ladies who work behind the counter were amazing. They provided the ultimate customer service and did it with a smile. This is also was during a time another customer became very rude and disrespectful to them. They still manage to provide superior customer service. I will definitely be back.

I am so upset ! I do not recommend this location at all. Very unprofessional ! They have mot resolved an issue that have caused. I had a car for 24 hours and returned it on the right day and time on Nov 27. They literally just checked the car in on Dec 15 which charges my card $1754. They have not put the money back ! They have not contacted me! I handed the keys to the manger they have cameras I told him to run them back he act like he cant go back in look at the cameras ! He had every excuse why he couldn’t fix the issue. He just kept saying “I need to look into it” . I will be going back up there since I haven’t heard anything ! But I do not recommend this location at all !

Dirty car that smelled heavily of smoke to to point I almost puked. Car was in bad shape, bad brakes and I eneded up returning it. had a trip planned and ended up having to cancel it because I didn't trust getting a second car from this location. Stay far away I beg of you!

Zeros Stars. Absolutely the worst experience with a rental company. Customer service is awful. Tried to return my car 30 minutes before 6:00pm , no one was there. Door locked and sign on door said will return at 10am. Waited 15 minutes and brought the vehicle back the next morning because they do not accept after hour returns. Employee claimed he was here till 6:20. Stated he was outside “moving cars”. While there returning car, another customer called on the phone and said he had the same exact issue a couple days prior at 1pm on a Sunday. The employee gave him the same excuse he gave me.
