Who would have ever thought that a small gas station/convenience store out in the country could be so awesome. They serve the best fried catfish I've ever had and the fried okra is absolutely delicious.

My son was visiting from out of state and wanted to support a small business and stopped there to get gas. He says the chicken smelled amazing so we went the next day to get some for dinner. I waited in the car, luckily for whoever was behind the counter. My son came out and informed me there was a 20 minute wait for chicken. I live near enough that I was going to come back to pick it up and told him to go back inside and place the order. Imagine my surprise when he returned with chicken and biscuits. Apparently the rude, nasty attitude man behind the counter had told him the chicken that was on display was not part of the “mixed special” despite them having plenty of chicken (legs, thighs and wings) to fill his order. Thankfully someone, working with him, had some common sense and apparently overruled him.I’ve patronized this store. Sam’s Corner 2, several times in an attempt to support small community businesses, even though I could purchase elsewhere much cheaper, but I won’t be spending another penny here. Oh and by the way, the chicken was mediocre at best.I see a lot of complaints on this forum about Mr. Rude. I don’t know if he’s the owner or a disgruntled employee and really don’t care but if he’s that miserable being there he needs to find something else to do.Signed Momma Bear.

Very rude when I called to ask if they were still serving breakfast. They do breakfast until 10am and I called at 9:52am.
