This place is flawless. Dave and Brigette are amazing hosts! They have made everything just perfect with this getaway. It is VERY quiet and all you hear complimenting the amazing mountain atmosphere is the sound of the whippoorwills in the evening and the buzzing of bumblebees in the morning. They are right next door if you need anything but at the same time it feels like you have the whole place to yourself! I rented the mtn laurel room in the deckhouse and it was perfect! The bed and pillows were so wonderful I didn't want to leave. Everything was so clean and organized! I loved all the wood trim ,low lighting and the view of a pristine pond right out my window. The kitchen was perfect and has everything you would have in your own home. The breakfast was so delicious and I loved being greeted by their new adorable inn pugs! I will be returning as soon as I can for another getaway. The BEST place I have ever stayed! Thanks you guys!

The Inn has such a relaxing atmosphere in a beautiful natural surrounding. There's the babbling creek & various song birds, so peaceful! The directions are easy to follow with the posted hwy signs. Dave & Brigette were the most wonderful hosts with delicious breakfasts every morning. And very accomodating as well, for special dietary needs (Celiac). They are so helpful with info for local attractions and restaurants/breweries. We really enjoyed visiting with them & hope to return one day! P.S. we fell in love with the Inn Pugs, Honey & Chibi!

What a glorious place to rest and recuperate from life's demands. From the awesome hosts, Dave and Brigitte, to the beautiful mountain setting, every moment lent itself to restoring peace, calm, and a balm to my sore soul. I can't say enough good things about the Inn on Mill Creek.Noteworthy details: Location. So far from the hustle and bustle.

This place is a gem! Dave and Brigette are wonderful hosts with a vast knowledge of the area. They are also fantastic cooks who make yummy, hearty breakfasts and delicious baked goods. The Inn itself is remotely located, but still close to the nice little town of Black Mountain. We enjoyed visiting Black Mountain and we were also able to enjoy the peace and serenity of the grounds. The main house is spacious and beautiful and our room (Evergreen Room) was perfect with a nice view of the pond and grounds. Best of all were the new inn pug puppies (who welcomed us as their first guests)! We cannot recommend The Inn on Mill Creek enough and plan on returning.

An exquisitely beautiful place tucked way back in the mountains, where you can revel in the peace, quiet, and nature's bounty. The hosts are warm and welcoming, the food is the best, the rooms are lavishly comfortable, and the scenery is glorious.

My husband and I throughly enjoyed our two night stay to celebrate our 24 year wedding anniversary. This was the first time we'd stayed at a Bed and Breakfast and the experience was phenomenal! Our room (master bedroom in the main house) was clean, comfortable and very accommodating. There was ample lighting with large windows that over looked the pond and a large portion of the grounds and property. The dressing area and the bathroom were very nice. We enjoyed the jetted tub and the beautifully tiled shower. Our breakfasts each morning were beyond top notch! Bridgette's Dutch Baby pancakes were delicious and Dave's Frittata's were scrumptious! Both innkeepers were delightful and we enjoyed pleasant conversation during our stay. They were available when needed and very welcoming, plus we had plenty of privacy too. Our location was very peaceful and though seemed farther, was actually less than a 10 minute drive from Black Mountain and only 30 minutes or so from Asheville. So it was the best of both worlds. Away from it all to bigger city, you get to choose. We had such a wonderful stay we are considering planning another trip back in a year or so. Would totally recommend!!!

We had an excellent stay here. The setting is in the beautiful Pisgah National Forest between Old Fort and Black Mountain. Just about 10 minutes from each. Our room was very comfortable, with a fireplace, and had a deck right on a pond. There is also a full kitchen with a washer/dryer and a living room area with a sofa, tv, and desk. The main building has a wonderful great room that reminded me of a national park lodge and the dining room. The breakfasts both mornings were delicious and if you have any dietary needs, they will modify breakfast for you. What is also nice is that the guest building we stayed in has another identical room and both have a loft with a queen. So, you really can fit up to 8 people. A perfect place for a family stay or for a bunch of friends. We highly recommend this place. Oh, and there are many great hiking trails just minutes away.

Dave and Brigette are incredible hosts, and I appreciate their flexibility and how they personalize the trip for me. I also appreciate their kindness and conversation as well. The seclusion of this B&B is awesome: close enough to the places I needed to go to, while still feeling like I'm getting away from hustle and bustle of the world. The room was impeccably clean, and I feel like I could spend another few days there just taking pictures of the beauty of the grounds.

Brigette and Dave were very welcoming and really have exemplary hospitality and communication. My friend and I have major dietary restrictions and they were able to accommodate them while not missing any of the deliciousness. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. They were easy to talk with but also gave guests space. Everything was super clean. I look forward to returning in the future!

We had a wonderful stay at the Inn on Mill Creek and would definitely stay there again. Everything was great. The room (the Evergreen Room) was big and beautiful and the bed was super comfortable. Loved having the screened in private porch for coffee in the morning and for listening to the birds and the stream. The breakfasts were divine. We stayed 6 days and had a different breakfast each day. The property was quiet and peaceful and beautiful. The hosts Brigette and Dave are super friendly and everything was top notch. I would highly recommend this B&B and I’m sure we will be back again.

In July our son and his wife enjoyed a wonderful stay at the Inn on Mill Creek and recommended that we plan the same delightful and relaxing get-away. Just a few weeks later, we too were enjoying this beautiful B&B with our lovely and very caring hosts, Brigette and Dave. Since we were new to the Black Mountain area, they had great recommendations for food and drink and were extremely knowledgeable about the area (current and past history). They served delicious & plentiful “fresh from the oven” breakfasts . . . and, of course, we never passed up the homemade treats in the kitchen! On our next visit, we’re planning to explore more of the property including the boardwalk through the wetlands. Do we all highly recommend the Inn on Mill Creek? YES!!Steve, Sara Jo, Jason and Sarah C.
