Had such a great experience! They got me in same day for my sinus infection and everyone was so friendly! Dr. Sexton actually sat and chatted with me about what meds I can use, etc. and was very kind!

This fantastic health center does an amazing job caring for this small isolated community.Dr. Baker has taken wonderful care of my elderly parents over the years and in 2021 she made sure the island had timely access to C19 vaccinations (and boosters).Additionally, over the years, I've seen a lot of visitors receive expert care and astute diagnoses for a variety of injuries and ailments.Thank you Dr. Baker and the Ocracoke Health Center!

Brought my daughter in yesterday, she left camp very ill, was on the mend but could not quite shake it, she was coughing like a 50 year smoker, the Dr. is amazing and very friendly, she had my daughter laughing snd comfortable in minutes. Ocracoke is very very fortunate to have such a warm intelligent Dr. on hand.

Friendly, professional, clean, smart, and accommodating.Daughter had a rash on vacation and we were able to go here and get it diagnosed and antibiotics prescribed. Really convenient.They had some really good COVID protocols including an outdoor waiting area.Impressive.

Called the Ocracoke Health Center to get an appointment for a COVID-19 test, due to sore throat and stuffy nose. No appointments available. I asked if there was any other place on the Island to get a test and was told that there is a mobile nurse practitioner, but didn’t know if she does tests. How can the only medical facility on an Island NOT KNOW!? 90+% of the people on the Island are NOT wearing masks indoors. Wow!UPDATE: In response to Ocracoke Health Center: I realized you are a small facility with limited capacity. What I thought was very odd is the lack of concern that someone on the Island might have COVID and that person wasn’t given any useful information on where they might be tested. Because you are a small facility with limited capacity, I would have thought you would have more knowledge as to alternative care. I wasn’t even given the contact information for the PA. After using Google, I was able to contact the PA; she does have the capability to perform a COVID test, but due to timing the sample wouldn’t be picked up until after we left the island. She did tell me there was a possibility that it might be the other virus that is making the rounds in the Outer Banks.

I’m from out of state, and I needed a emergency prescription filled, they set me up with a pharmacy and had my meds ferried out the next day. Super nice people very compassionate to my problem.
