The maintenance needs were resolved in a professional and timely manner by the rock star staff. This is such a lovely place to live and be cared for so well by the entire staff. I am delighted to be here.

They denied me and my husband for a criminal background check report that was from when he was 16! Hence the charge was a felony but it’s over 30 years ago, never been in trouble again a day in his life. Then they tell me I can dispute it with rent grow. What is there to dispute if the charge is accurate, and it’s up to them to “decide” from the information given to them. Very disappointed and I hate to say it but I really think it was more about the color of our skin more than the background check. ??♀️

When it came to picking the right community for our new family to place our roots, it was super easy when we discovered Hawthorne at Pine Forest. Coming from a past of feeling unsafe in my own home at an other apartment complex, all of those feelings disappear here. I feel comfortable knowing that my one year old daughter is growing up in a safe and happy community. I absolutely adore how the office staff consistently involves the apartment community by holding events at the clubhouse. Megan & Molly are the absolute sweetest and I'm confident that them alone had an effect on our choice in calling this place home. The maintenance team is amazing and are always willing to do what needs to be done at the drop of a hat. We count the entire office staff as part of our family, as that's how it feels living here. A home.

I truly enjoy living here. Molly, Megan and Marissa & team do a phenomenal job. They really do their best to make the place feel like a home in terms of appearance and events. However some people here take this for granted and don't take care of the property as if it were their own.

It has been a very long time since I've experienced a caring, interactive community like I am seeing here. The staff, the neighbors are kind, helpful and a downright pleasure to meet. It reminds me of the neighborhood I grew up in; and, I thought was lost to time and changing values. To say it's a good experience would be an understatement. My heart says welcome home. I can think of no better ways of expressing my happiness in deciding to move here. - From a verified resident on ApartmentRatingsAddendum: we have submitted service requests on two occasions since the original writing. Both of these events demonstrated a commitment to excellence of service unsurpassed by any other facility management organization I’ve experienced in my 73 years. It is a great pleasure knowing that my family is well cared for.Once more unto the breach!: TG found home! This is everything one could want. Community, conviviality, convenience, a caring staff to address your concerns, gardens and parks, activities, simple party amenities. The list goes on and on. All this and a place for our pet as well! So considerate!Again! Quick response, problem resolved! I don’t believe Aladdin’s jinni could do it better!

I'm going on my third year at Hawthorne, and I plan on staying a few more. It is a very nice place to call home. The amenities are first-rate, the landscaping is very well-maintained. and the people are very friendly. My only complaint is that the apartment hallways only get cleaned twice a year. The whole process and moving in experience was wonderful! Molly and Megan really helped us out with everything and made the experience wonderful! Me and my husband absolutely love our apartment and our neighbors are wonderful! If you’re looking for a home this is the place!!

I can't even begin to write how amazing my experience has been. Molly has been so helpful and accommodating throughout the past two years. I really enjoy the events and the community-feel. Maintenance has been very quick to address any concerns.

The Hawthorne apartments in Oak Island have been a wonderful place to live. Staff truly shows that they care for the residents and the community. Everyone is always friendly and professional. They hold events through the year and try to make it a quiet and welcome place for all residents.
