Great place to buy GOOD lumber if you're building something. Their lumber is far superior to Lowe's or Home Depot's lumber. This is my go to place in Hickory if I need to buy lumber for a project for a customer. The prices might be a little higher here, but you're getting a better product than those big box stores.

Good price, but you get what you pay for. Absolutely worst experience I've ever had with a lumber company. They shorted me on hardware, and it took me seven phone calls to get my shed delivered and still not right. Unfortunately they were they only ones who responded to my request to build a shed, again after multiple calls to them. Not impressed. Never again.

Wasted 2 days trying to do business with them.Went on Tuesday and no one would even come out to help.justin told me to email my list and they would get me a quote.Emailed my list on Tuesday night.At 1pm on Wednesday still didn’t hear back from them so I called. Spoke to Justin and he said they were preparing for Inventory on Friday and he hasn’t had time to look at my email or even give me a quote!!84 LUMBERIF YOU PLAN ON PUTTING CUSTOMERS TO YHE BACK BIRNER WHILE YOU PREPARE FOR INVENTORY THEN YOU NEED TO THINK ABOUT CLOSING TO PREPARE.

We don’t normally use this place but we did this 1 time because they have LVL beams in stock. We put in a order of $1000 delivered. You don’t pick your lumber by the way, they do. I have to say, this is the worst lumber I’ve ever bought! Over 50% of the boards were bad. Very poor quality. I can’t believe they sell wood like this. I would never recommend this place. Ever. They do not care about customer satisfaction or quality. I will never order from here again. The wood is trash. See pics:

I've started using 84 for most of my projects using wood floor systems now. Great guys that go the extra mile and quality is better than the big box stores.

Great place. Has the sets for a do it yourselfer and if there is more originally given than needed then just bring it back unused.

My lumber order contained some of the worst lumber I have ever had to work with. It was more than 50% cull. Had I not been under time pressure to finish my projects while they were closed for the holidays, I would have returned all of it. I took my flat bed got all the lumber for 4 sheds I was building. They bundled it up where I couldn't inspect it as they loaded it. Unlike other places you don't get to select your lumber. I don't know if they just gave me all the culls or if their lumber is just that bad. They made me wait a long time getting the order up even though they had no other customers. The only thing I cant figure is the guy was picking all the culls out of the stack. I would not buy any lumber there in the future. Im worried about the strength of my buildings because the wood had so may big knots and splits in it. Some was chewed up while other seem soft on the ends.
