DO NOT DO BUSINESS with this corrupt dealer. We purchased a Polaris from them and 2 years later have yet to receive the extra $4.3k in accessories. We have attempted multiple times to call, visit and get it resolved with no response or action. Unfortunately we now have to contact a lawyer. Save the hassle. Very dishonest and unethical.

Sid E. Von Rospeunt, thank you for your response below. It’s wonderful to finally get you to respond! After two years, you have FAILED to install the additional accessories we paid. All of which is documented and factual, not lies. You have taken NO action to resolve this issue, after multiple attempts to call, visit, email and text, which is why I have to now go public so others can avoid this experience.
Anyone can look you up on the internet, and see how fraudulent you are. Your arrest records & lawsuits speak louder than words. So say what you want, but the truth will prevail.

Absolutely the worst customer service I’ve experienced in a very long time. I booked a Uhaul truck rental for a 1pm pickup, showed up at 12:40pm and the doors were locked. So I called the one 800 number guy said he’ll be here at 2 PM. I said I had a 1 o’clock pick up time and he said not my problem. I’ll be there at 2 PM. Canceling my order!

Homeboy threatened to call the cops on me because of a mistaken e alert on my Uhaul account. This occurred as he was simultaneously trying to sleaze his way out of providing the title on a vehicle that another customer was interested in buying. Quintessential sleazy used car dealer vibe from this guy. It was kind of an amazing experience in some respects.

UPDATE AGAIN!!! Now the radiator blew on the LR2 and I have to pay $2000 to get it fixed. HORRIBLE. *** IS VERY DECEIVING!!!UPDATE** After fixing the thermostat after the car overheated, the thermostat needs to be replaced AGAIN!!!! (within 12 months. $1000 extra)DON'T BUY A CAR FROM SCOTT RODES OR ***!!!!I bought my first car here - a Land Rover LR2 ($8,500), and let's say the price I paid, I should have flushed down the toilet. The issues started before I even got it home in *********, **.1. On the drive home the headliner basically fell from the roof. Mind you, this was less than an hour of driving it off the lot... Scott Rodes/*** didn't fix it. ($350)2. Check engine light came on within a week. Autozone said it was the thermostat... Scott Rodes/*** didn't fix it. ($150)3. The car overheated... Knocking in the engine started and many said the engine was seized. I got it towed and Scott Rodes/*** *fixed* it without having to replace the engine (Hind sight I should have replaced the engine right then and there to save me more money in the long run). ($850)4. Starter blew within a month (after *** told me they replaced the starter before I bought it)... Scott Rodes/*** didn't fix it. ($600)5. AC Compressor failed within 2 months... Scott Rodes/*** didn't fix it. ($1,200)The car sold to me is a complete piece of c*** and it started having problems less than an hour of me pulling off the Scott Rodes lot. If they took responsibility and helped to make things right would be one thing, but they turn their back on you once the money has been exchanged. They don't want anything to do with you because they know they so

Sold us a car that required a major repair (over $3,000), forged my signature on documents, refused to acknowledge or assist in repairing the vehicle - and we aren’t the first they have ripped off. Stay far, far away from this dealership.

Also, below this post you will see Sid himself submitted a 5 star review, which is against google policy.

A car I wished to buy was in Florida and therefore unavailable for me to inspect. I was told other two buyers were interested. I could place a $2000.00 deposit to secure the car. I saw the car after it arrived in Newland, NC, and it was not as represented "a 7 or 8 creampuff" because of extensive rust underneath. I cancelled purchase and asked my deposit to be returned...in November. I therefore attempted a small claims twice, but seller took refuge in his corporation which would have to be served at a Raleigh, NC, address. Small claims could be served only locally. This means a court case would be required. This would require more expense and at this point an attorney should be retained. There were other interested buyers, so why not refund a deposit to a customer unwilling to buy a car that didn't satisfy him?

Sid runs the place and isn't someone I would work with again. I can only assume he knowingly lied about the mechanical condition of the vehicle I was interested in. I took him on his word, placed a $1000 (nonrefundable) deposit and then waited. And waited. And waited some more. Multiple excuses as to why the vehicle wasn't ready by the most recent date he scheduled. Whether those reasons were legit or not is kinda irrelevant... So finally the day comes when he says the car is ready and doesn't change the date so I purchase expensive last minute tickets $$$ and fly out from central Texas to his lot in North Carolina. Once I arrive, I naturally ask to take it for a test drive. It was at this point that he mentions that he took the vehicle for a test drive the previous day and on the way home the check engine light came on... Again, highly unlikely but irrelevant now. The body is ok but not anywhere near the condition he or the photos had me believe. Despite all this we took it for a test drive and we were ultimately disappointed. Vehicle fell flat on its face and underwhelmed in every mechanical category. In the end we had to pay even more for transportation back home as the vehicle we planned on was buying was not the vehicle we were met with. Quite frustrating and expensive experience. All in all I lost the $1000 deposit and another $1000+ in travel expenses...not to mention the 3 days in nonstop travel. I hate to only state negative despite my overwhelming negative experience. The receptionist and dogs were really nice and the fall scenery thought the Eastern states was a nice change from central Texas. Lesson from the experience, don't trust a used car salesman unfortunately.

This is the local drop-off location for Uhaul in Avery County, NC. Save yourself a trip and schedule your equipment drop-off somewhere else. This location was closed on a Thursday @ 10 am even though there sign on the door and their website says they were open.
