The only thing this place is good for is loans. I will never open a banking account here again and I suggest none you do as well. Multiple hidden fees, non refundable NSF fees after FAULTY charges, not entire staff but most of the staff was very rude and uppity. Management was also rude. If you need a checking account just go with Chime or cash app.

We are blessed to have SECU in our lives. Family surgery and hospital stay at UNC would have meant costly hotel bills and meals. Fortunately the SECU house near the hospital provided both. Excellent service very helpful with foreign currency exchange.

I’m very pleased with this bank. I started receiving my disability about 4 years ago and my brother talked me into this bank. Since I’ve been here they have helped me finally after a bad divorce get my credit score from a 240 to now I’m at a 602. They listen to my needs and help me so much. I wouldn’t change banks at all. Thank you State Employee.

I don't have much money, but I really like keeping my money here! I just moved from Greenville and will start using this branch more- along with the one in Morehead City. I wish the had one in Havelock. Staff always nice and professional. Parking easy to get in and out. The building itself is gorgeous!

Rude and unprofessional. Not a very welcoming member services establishment at all. Worst of all, this is hidden behind a guise of interest and sincerity. The customer service line is not any better if you make contact that way. I was purposefully hung up on. That spoke volumes to me. Don't waste your time and give them any service!!!

I've had fairly decent experiences coming to this branch. However, there could be more tellers employed here to speed up the drive-thru and inside transactions. I recently came here to make a deposit and a teller told me to go to the coin counter. I did against my own judgement and ended up losing $0.25 behind the counter. In the end, I went through the drive-thru and will continue to do so. I didn't have that many coins to begin with so it shouldn't have been an issue. Unfortunately, this one experience has caused me to reconsider sticking with the original branch on Glenburnie Road than give this one a chance.

Currently this is a brand new branch conveniently located right off Highway 70 downtown New Bern. This place although Spacey, & roomie is horribly staffed. Friday afternoon at 4:30pm only 2 front cashiers working and 1 drive thru cashier. There are 7 available spaces in the front for cashiers and 4 drive-through lines available. They need to have more staff up front especially on Friday afternoons.
