Manager at the New Bern branch needs to get public relation skills or needs to find another job. Every time my wife or I go into the bank the manager interrogates us then tells us we could do that online or through the drive thru window. I have been with PNC for almost 30 years and have always had an enjoyable experience If we had wanted to do everything online we would go to an online bank. This interrogation and negative/demeaning treatment by the manager is going to drive us and many other customers away. If we are treated this way I can only imagine how his employees are treated.

I've banked with PNC almost continuously since I was 13. No other bank for me since I'll be 70 in two years!

I went in to get a checkbook and the manager there started asking me a million questions as if it was an interrogation. Then after I answered everything he asked me and gave all the info required he still looked offended or questioning me for asking for a checkbook. It just felt intrusive with all the questions. I came in for something that I thought would be a simple request, not to make small talk, but I guess it was too much to ask for. Had I known it was going to be like this going in person I would have ordered online but it takes 2-3 weeks for checks to get mailed if you do it over the phone and they charge you extra if you want to have it printed out at the bank so either way it's a bad experience. What am I paying a yearly fee for if this is the experience I get from going into the bank in person. I'll be switching to a different bank.

First, I LOVE the Customer Service at the Local Level. Corporate PNC is GREEDY and NON-RESPONSIVE. I have been a practicing attorney for 19 years. I have a mortgage with pnc bank. My house was devastated by hurricane florence (I live in New Bern, NC) The first thing that happened was I had to fight with the GREEDY insurance companies to wrestle a settlment out of them. The next thing was I got my settlement check and had to endorse it over to PNC bank. Now, finally, its April and I there are finally contractors available to start working on my house. My wife, three dogs, and two children have been living in our attic since October 2018. Now PNC will not give me the insurance money to rebuild my house. I dont know if it corporate GREED or just plain ignorance on the part of PNC bank. I have submitted documentation about the out of pocket repairs I have made, and nothing seems to touch them. Is it that they just dont care about their clients? I have a near perfect credit score, have been a loyal PNC customer for a long time. I have a PNC credit card and mortgage. I was the mayor of New Bern NC. I have done everything right and yet I am being treated like a criminal for simply wanting to fix my house. Geeze I understand insurance companies trying to screw folks, but now having to fight my own bank for money I had to fight the insurance company for in the first place, it is lilke being victimized all over again. My next step is going to the banking and insurance commissions; and if that doesn't work, I will take PNC to Court. There is absolutely NO reason my wife and I shouldn't be able to rebuild our home, and there is ABSOLUTELY no reason PNC Bank should be victimizing us for the third time.

Great bank. No long lines and the people there are friendly and make your banking experience feel like they are there for you

I bank with PNC for 3 years before closing my account with them. I was asked in for a review of my account and then was pushed to get a credit card to make everyday purchases.
