After being notified that an item was in stock, My wife paid for it online And was notified that we can pick it up .The following day I went to pick it up And they stated that they did not have the item. They stated my wife received an email that it wasn’t in stock. The email was sent 15 hours after we were told we can pick it up. I tried to cancel the order and after 15 minutes, they said they couldn’t cancel the order. They implied it was my wife’s fault. They took no responsibility for their errors and did not offer an apology.. It was a very bad experience, and the amount of incompetence displayed was in my opinion scary.
By the way, the local ace store in Wilmington would get a five over five star rating because in almost 20 years, we have had no problems with them..

I walked in the store and picked out a few items, I realized that if I ordered on the app that I would save 20% and could pick them up 15min or less .. online said they didn't have the items in stock even though I had them in my hand. Guy at the register was completely lost as to what was going on and all of the other employees standing there didn't offer to see what was up ..

Store has great inventory, prices, but more so superior customer service. They ask to help, understand my need, and recommend the right solution. I went in yesterday with my solution in mind, but left with their solution and it was $200 less expensive. Four dollars solved my problem. They could have easily sold me the $200 option. Thank you for such integrity.

Just had the best experience at Down East Ace in New Bern. I was buying my husband a birthday present and needed help picking the right gift and their customer service was excellent from the second I walked through the door. I was also able to purchase the product for $50 less than other stores were selling the item for. The man at the checkout was so friendly but I did not catch his name or see it on the receipt. Buddy was the guy that helped me pick out what I thought my husband would like. He was so kind and helpful and thanks to his assistance I know my husband is going to love his birthday gift. Thank y’all!

I was told today, Aug 14, that only the owner could resolve my being charged twice for the same purchase. He would need a copy of my monthly statement, ..I was told that John came in about 10 am most weekdays..my wife is a teacher and will not be available weekdays. She also receives only electronic statements ..was told showing the statement on her phone would be unsatisfactory..the clerk who had handled my transaction walked up, and remembered the transaction.ihave been making weekly purchases for several months, preferring not going to Lowe's
