My mom and I went to this Dollar General. We waited about 5 minutes with our items because no one was up front to check us out. This black guy came up to the front to check us out. He didn't apologize for our wait nor did he speak. My mom had to speak to him. I just stepped back and observed him while shaking my head. A lot of times I am the one that greets cashiers when I go in stores. If I didn't speak they wouldn't even bother. This was one of those days that I watched how he treated my mother (who speaks to everybody) and I was not happy. Stores have to get back to making sure they hire workers that are friendly, courteous and open their mouths and speak! This is rude, a family member told me that that same worker always does this. Talking and acknowledging customers is a part of good customer service...this was not it.

This location clearly does not value its employees nor its customers. Some sections of the store were haphazardly overfilled while other sections were barely stocked.
Four customers stood in line waiting for an employee for about 5 minutes. A customer had to leave the line to locate the one & only employee in the entire store, who was down an aisle trying to quickly restock.
This was at 12:30 on a Friday afternoon. This employee was not wearing a name tag nor anything else that would identify them as an employee, only a black shirt & denim.
For the unaware, DG corporate is currently in the middle of a class action lawsuit due to mislabeling of prices directly caused by willful staffing shortages. Because the employees are so understaffed, prices were not getting updated correctly. I am not saying this location is following the corporate handbook in this regard, but am simply highlighting how wilfully understaffing a store can lead to serious issues. Serve your customers (and treat your employees) better!

Was my favorite store but a certain staff ruined my experience Vernica is very unproffessional always having an attitude and yelling when she doesnt get acknowledged and always on the phone or rolling her eyes its very uncomfortable. Besides that I would have gave it 5 stars used to be my favorite store until these bad experiences rest of the staff is very nice and awesome though.

I went to Walgreens in Newbern by the hospital the lady pulled your head out the door after a customer walked out and told me they were closed I said OK thank you then a black gentleman came to the door and she asked him what he wanted and told him come on and she would check him out. If Walgreens does not like white customers that I will never again ever step foot in a Walgreens and I guarantee you all of my prescriptions will be transferred as of now

They're always out of what I need when I go in there, and its not the "neatest" Dollar General I've been in. I prefer the one in Bridgeton. Its ALOT neater & has a bigger selection of items.
