We recently adopted two cats from Volonial Capitol. They came with up-to-date shots, were neutered, and chipped. The cats are well taken care of by a caring staff. We were very happy with our interaction with the society.

Our company did some work with them, and they were very pleasant and accommodating! If they treat their animals as well as they treated us, then the animals are doing great! P.S. getting to see the animals playing through the window was a definite perk!

If I could leave a negative 5 review I absolutely would everyday for the rest of my life. This organization is one of the worst there is and are probably way worse for the pets than anyone could that puts an application in. I've applied 2 separate times and have been given the run around both times. I was told by email that there was some lattice missing around my porch that would need to be fixed and I agreed. Was also told I didn't allow mike in my home to look around after setting up a time with him. And in fact I didn't, because it was 9am and my father that I look after was sleeping. Keep in mind when this mike guy called me, not once did he ever say he needed to go inside of my house. If he would have communicated properly I could have made arrangements for that to happen. But his poor communication is a clear reflection of this terrible organization. During his phone call he was more concerned of doing work on his house so he wanted to do it at his convenience and do a very poor job at it. With that being said, if you're looking for a pet, my advice would be to look absolutely anywhere else.

If I could give a 0, I would. If you don't over vet your dog, buy heartworm meds from any pharmacy other than your vets office, prefer homeopathic vet care for sick pets... don't bother applying with them. Lisa is judgmental and very rude, refused to let us adopt, because she did not approve of the care my bichon frise, Pucca, was getting at home. My vet knew he was receiving homeopathic treatment for chf, and approved of it. He could no longer take regular injections because of his disease. She called me stupid and irresponsible. My baby passed away Jan 8, 2021 and lived to be 14 1/2 because of how much I cared for him. My German shepherd, Nutty, suffered from liver disease, and couldn't take regular injections either. They both lived long and wonderful lives, but this woman said...I was stupid. She needs to be tossed out the door. This place doesn't want to find homes for pets, but they will steal them! If you aren't rich in this damn county, don't bother messing with them. It's a real shame the way they treat people. Frankly Lisa, you're a bad person, and you will have to answer to a higher power one day. We were discriminated against by this woman, because we aren't wealthy, disabled, and homebound, but we treated our dogs as our children, they received love, healthcare, and were the best ever. Evidently this woman has no soul and can't look beyond her snooty attitude. Shame on you!!!

The best place to adopt a cat or dog. They truly love their animals and all are human responsive

Wonderful place for cats and dogs to foster and adopt. The flea market on Trent has all kinds of treasures to help benefit them!
