Kitty Hawk Kites, Inc. was founded in 1974 by John Harris, a pioneer in hang gliding, to provide instruction, products, and service to the burgeoning new sport. In the late 1980s, Kitty Hawk Kites expanded into what is now it's two businesses; providing recreational adventures such as Hang Gliding, Kayaking, Kiteboarding, Jet Skiing, Parasailing and much, much more; selling kites (such as stunt kites, power kites and single line kites), toys, gifts, wind art, Life is Good, Natural Life, and OBX apparel from it's retail outlet stores and on our online store.
