I had the pleasure to meet with Courtney recently! She is compassionate, dedicated, and detail-oriented. They take care of things and ensure every detail is attended to. When facing a life stressor such as planning a funeral, it’s vital to have expertise, skill, and attend to a family’s emotional and spiritual needs! She does all this and more! Cannot recommend her enough.

Words cannot express the thoughtfulness, kindness and compassion that were shown by Courtney and her team during this difficult and painful time for our family. Courtney is an absolute consummate professional - she answered and advised all of our questions with open heartfelt honesty and encouraged us to take time we needed in making decisions.

Courtney, Ben and Heath are some of the most amazing, compassionate and caring human beings I’ve met in a very long time. They took great care of my father, treated us with respect and explained each step of a difficult process with grace and love. From my family to yours, do not hesitate to call and speak with them.

I cannot say enough about this company. Both Courtney and Ben were extremely helpful and compassionate when dealing with our family. They are kind and made this difficult process very smooth for our family. They took the guesswork out of everything by clearly listing options on their website. When the time came, they answered the phone personally, so I did not have to deal with an answering service. This is one of the best funeral experiences I have had. I highly recommend them!

Both Courtney and Ben were extremely informative and accommodating. They took the time to inform us of our options, costs involved answered all questions and were very helpful. This was un-familiar territory for us are we are not from the area but our Brother in Law insisted that we use Gallop. Courtney and Ben adjusted their schedule and associates to make the situation very pleasant and a positive experience. Their follow up was excellent. Thank you again to Courtney and Ben.

Losing my dear Johnny was so difficult. But from the moment of his passing, Courtney and Ben at Gallop Funeral Services have held my hand through the final stages of saying goodbye. Their attention to every detail of Johnny's final wishes have made things run so smoothly. I was able to call them at any time day or night. They were warm and caring and very sensitive to our every need. Thank you Courtney and Ben. From all of us in the Howland family.

Courtney and her team are the best. They were so helpful every step of the way for my husbands cremation and service. They gave us peace of mind that everything was taken care of. During the hardest time of your life grieving a loved one it’s nice to have this team beside you making sure you stay on track. They have a very quick response time as well. Even though I am sure they were very busy it never felt like we were bothering them it felt like we were the only ones they were working with. I truly appreciate them.

Just reaching out to thank Courtney and Ben for serving my family in the turbulent time death brought into our lives. She was attentive to our questions and clearly explained the process to us in a professional and caring manner. We always felt supported and gently guided through the "unknowns" that come when you lose someone. When troubled waters come your way- call Courtney! Gallop Funeral Services is incomparable in experience, empathy, and professionalism.

On Gallop Funeral Home website the following are direct..Apparently Courtney Gallop attendeda class and received and "coveted" certificate. This only applies if you show her the money other wise NO effort is made and your loved one will stay in a body bag even for a last look before being cremated. You'll have the added advantage of seeing someone else who is deceased as well.Better show her the money first or your last look will be traumatic."Nags Head- Gallop Funeral Services, Inc. owner Courtney N. Gallop recently completed 41 hours of intensive embalming and reconstructive surgical training from the Fountain National Academy (FNA) international headquarters facility in Springfield, Missouri. The intensive five -day program featured classroom and immersive lab training. Students were provided with advanced techniques that professional embalmers employ to achieve an acceptable and identifiable appearance of deceased persons who suffered severe traumatic cranial and facial injuries"“It is well known that a positive final glimpse of their beloved can impart powerful psychological benefits and help aid the grieving process.” She added, “I feel so fortunate to be able to tell a family there are steps we can take to get their son or daughter closer to how they looked before that tragic accident or disease.” Courtney GallopAll that training for SEVERE TRAUMATIC CRANIAL AND FACIAL INJURIES ??A suicide by gun shot must not fall under that category.Courtney made ZERO EFFORT to do anything with my friend who took his life by gunshot expect leave him in a bag.NOT EVEN REFRIGERATION, if there is any on site and yes I know Courtney, " at least they weren't charged for refrigeration"SHAME ON YOU COURTNEY GALLOP.Your ONLY saving grace in your business is your "Partner" Ben.It doesn't matter what board you sit or local affiliation you have when you treat people the way you do.Do yourselves a favor and use the funeral home in Manteo who has been in business and operates with dignity and has refrigeration.SHAME ON YOU COURTNEY GALLOPClass, tact, compassion you lack.By the way the state of NC does offer a COUNTon ME NC course for COVID protocol as well. Brush up, unless you're trying to spread your joy as you were theday arrangements were made for my friend .
