Edit: company got bought out. They are talking about taking away the butcher and the selection has already started to decline.Instead of deals on quality food, your getting cheap off brand always stocked food.You can't find better deals on food in Murphy. Butcher on site so the meat is top notch.Best prices on gluten-free and dairy-free products when they have them in stock. $5 cheaper per package than Walmart or Ingles

A near 30+ year institution in Murphy. They always get in some very decent quality items. It also serves a valuable place in the community because for the longest time if you couldn't afford Ingles, you could go to SavALot or Walmart. Gradually Walmart drove their prices up, so people on limited income could get food from SavALot or UGO. We're lucky to have this one, I just wish it was still on US-64/74 W in the original location(Unemployment Agency is there now). The current location was Bi-Lo

Have saved hundreds of dollars shopping here! Have gotten so many incredible deals on QUALITY meat, chicken, and pork! Tons of name brand high end products. Just an amazing place for soo much less!

I like UGO ,I really do ! But I find ours to be lacking ? They really need to check their pricing better for inaccurately and fix it! Plus they didn't have the things I went in for, so I had to pay more something close which ended up not really working in my recipe. I also was over charged for 6 items which should have come to less than 6 dollars and ended up paying 15.00 and when I called about it I was treated rudely and then hung up on! I'm sorry but this Store is not as friendly as it used to be and some of the prices are comparable to or higher than WM. I know I pay closer attention to things than most people after being in grocery business for over 26 years so I am sorry if I sound critical but in my opinion this store needs some help!

Didn't have the berries that was on sale, sold out, but no store ever puts up a sign to let you know..they didn't have the name on the sign of the sale item so I picked out what was there but wasn't know way I'd of know what item it was, so I get to register an course rung up no sale price.. so I made them take off my bill.Till you learn to advertise correct item with the name brand on sign, how would we know ...

Lots of great deals in UGO. Today I purchased some good protein bars at 6 for 2.49. Also bought several canned goods for under a dollar. They have quality meat, also. It's a fantastic place to shop for bargains.

Went the other day and it was really bare .Idk what was going on but I hope they get restocked soon.Great place and every week they have new products .If you find something you like at a great price you better stock up then .They may not have it after it's all gone because each week it has new products.Meat department on site and well stocked Hit or miss on prices on meat.But when it is a good price which I can usually find something at a good price in meat department.

One of my favorite Grocery Markets. Some Outstanding Specials. Product selection can be hit or miss. But, would shop here first before going to the Bird Store. AKA. Wal-Mart.Always can find rare good deals.

Talking with the stores general manager about this business and its mission to supply and serve the small community of Murphy , left me feeling very fortunate i'd found this bargain paradise. Driving two hours from Atlanta to Murphy, for me was well worth it in what i saved on groceries. My big cart was filled to the top and my receipt was for $83.70. If i had been at Ingles,Kroger.Mal-Wort, Ralph's,winn-dixie,Publix ,king soopers or Piggly Wiggly with the same selections in my cart it would have been over 300$. Watch the dates for approaching expiration dates, small meats section with friendly butchers and featuring local grass fed beef raised in Cherokee county. The best time to shop here is in the morning. Being the last customers in the store and aware of the closing time , i spoke to the mgr and said we're hurrying almost done and his response was, We dont kick anyone out of this store whose filling a buggy!" Holding the checker and mgr up fifteen min beyond the posted closing time( which i promised to never do again) , you know youd have attitude and frowning faces staring back at you right? Nothing but smiles and thankful words and well wishes for the two hour trip home. This store is a hidden jewel.I wish i lived closer ,but it was definitely worth the drive. Id recommend this place to anybody and everyone. Bring an ice chest or two for frozen food section deals. Many vegan,organic,nonGMO gluten free products!

Good for meat everything else basically freshness date has expired. Meat is cheapest in town and without expired dates.
