I’m a Dudley native and visit this store due to its closeness and variety of nice wigs and my shopping experience is always decent. Aside from the fact that it’s known that you’re being watched. However, today was not a pleasant experience and the only reason I gave this review 3 instead of 1 is because of the lady softened the blow. I was looking for a wig and spent about 30min doing so, all while being heavily observed which is bothersome but it doesn’t matter, I’m no thief, never have and hope never will. I work hard and have no reason to steal. Anyway, I asked the “man” a question about a wig I was interested in and he was very snarky, as if I bothered him to ask and tried to make me feel like I was asking a dumb question. The lady must’ve have picked up his irritation so she intervened and took over the register while he went in the back. From that point, customer service was much better. *Store owners* understand that pleasant customer service is everything to customers. Majority of your customers are African-Americans who willingly spend their hard earned money with your business. Respect that and respect them and all other pleasant customers that shop with you. You may be the one not Beauty Supply store in that town but it doesn’t mean that you won’t loose customers. Consumers, be mindful of the dollar you spend. If the store doesn’t give you pleasant customer service, find another Peridot! Beauty World Supply and “Dukes” of Goldsboro are alright with me.

Im a licensed Cosmetologist, therefore they give me a 10% discount and I'm VERY grateful to them for that. I've been shopping here for alot of years. The owners are very sweet people and always knowledgeable and helpful. Most of the time when they see me, they greet me with a smile and sometimes will even grab me a basket, when they see my arms are overloaded. The store is ALWAYS neat and clean. I'm usually able to find everything I need.

I love “Mama and Papa” as I call them! Their store has a huge variety of beauty accessories not just hair and your going to buy because it’s too cute lol, you may go in thinking your spending 10$ and end up spending 110$ lol simply because of all the cute accessories lol. I’m a frequent customer ?

I went looking for a specific shampoo on 3/5/22 that is continuously sold out every where else I normally buy it from. As I was walking in the man that works there was near the door, so I pulled out my old shampoo bottle and asked if they carried this particular shampoo. He takes the bottle from me and walks me directly to it. Great! I tell him I need 3 bottles of it. He walks them to the counter still with my empty bottle in his hands. The woman is ringing someone else up, so I wait. The man is ducked behind the counter the entire time I’m waiting which I thought was odd. When it’s my turn to check out he sits the bottles in the counter and they all have been marked up. I tell him that the price was something else before he went behind the counter and he says that the manufacturer went up on the price. Really!!! They went up on the price while I was standing there?!! I went back to the shelf grabbed the others on the shelf that had the original price and asked to purchase those with the price clearly marked on the bottles and was told that I would have to pay the just marked up price because the manufacturer went up on the price! He only went up on the price because the used bottle from the competitor that I brought in had a higher price on it! That is why he kept my bottle to begin with! I will never shop there again! Support black owned businesses!

I love these two as one of the best I have came across. I've been going to this beauty supply store for years now and never had a bad experience. They greets you as soon as you get in with a smile on their face. They will help you with whatever you need and don't act like you don't exist in their store. They acknowledge everyone. I love how they have expanded their store it's so neat and organized. I will never stop going to this place, I will continue to go every chance I can get!

Was traveling a couple years ago and needed a shower cap. I found one large enough for my huge head and waist length hair and picked up a couple large claw-like hair clips. The quality of the items were a small step above Dollar Tree, but their prices were a huge step above. They have a huge, daunting hodgepodge of hair accessories, but I wasn't impressed by the quality. One of the large claw clips broke my first time using it. The shower cap wasn't anything spectacular, i.e. it wasn't terry lined or anything but the price was over $6. This seemed like a lot for what it was.

They will rip you off I bought some of the earrings in the box $10 and they were messed up and she said she can’t do nothing about it. They are crooks I will be reporting them to the better business bureau

Very nice people, not like some wig stores I have been in ,you don't see these people looking around like you're going to still something,they come to you if you call them only for some help. And they always have a smile and give you a great welcome. So I'm giving them a five ⭐

The manager and his wife appear to be friendly but are very rude when closing out sales. Whether it be an exchange or making a purchase.I was closing out a sale and my debit card didn’t work I asked the woman to please try it again because it does that sometimes and she replied no, your card was declined I assured her the card was active and had money but she refused to try my card again. She told me to call my bank, it wasn’t what she said it was how she said it. I had other cards and cash but because she was so rude I left my purchase on the counter. I will not be patronizing them anymore
