I moved to the area early last year from Los Angeles. I got accepted into a Master's program at UNCC and have been fighting to get residency status since it is a difference of $4k/semester for in-state tuition and $11k for out-of-state tuition.I was re-applying for residency at the 12 month mark since I couldn't get it when I initially applied. I am submitting every document under the sun to prove I've been living here, and then they suddenly say they need my tax documents for 2022 and they give me a little over a week as a deadline.Mind you, taxes aren't even due yet, and I haven't dealt with them since I've had a number of other things on my plate, so now I'm scrambling to find someone to do them.I made an appointment here and talked to Kristy. I told her about what I needed and the deadline. She noted she had a lot of other people lined up, but when I offered to pay a rush fee, she refused and said she'd make a note to do it the very next day so I'd make the deadline.Next day, everything is done. Even I after submitted those documents and they demanded MORE, Kristy was right on top of it after I sent her an email.I'm happy to say I finally got approved for residency and don't have to pay an obscene amount of money for tuition when I go back to school. Kristy was awesome and really amazing throughout the process. I HIGHLY recommend going here.

I would highly recommend this H & R Block. Peg Allred always does a great job. After many years of helping us with our taxes, she now does my son's taxes since he is self employed and it's tricky knowing what can be counted as an expense. My mom recommended her, so I knew she had to be great!

I'm not satisfied with the service I received. I was charged an extra, and very expensive, fee in order to receive some sort of tax credit. The fee was as much as the credit. And because of the credit your company requested for me, my taxes are being reviewed and I still haven't received my tax return. I will not use H&R Block again and I'll tell everyone I know to go to another company.

The My Holly location did my personal and business taxes. I've never had any issues with personal and did not this time. My company one was so messed up that in December I am still working with the IRS to get everything they need. Essentially every form had enough errors that it needed redoing and verification which is a massive pain versus doing it correctly the first time.Also, after I was told my taxes were all paid, both the state and federal asked for the full amounts of my business taxes saying they were never paid. I was never able to get H&R block to give me a reason and they stopped responding to my emails, when I call they take my information and say that they (the person answering the phone) will need to have someone that knows more get back to me.In the future I'll use the H&R block online tools, the people they hire simply can't do some of the things they advertise.

Called to tell the staff I'd be a few minutes late for my appointment...was interuppted repeatedly to be told they were not taking meetings in person, when I tried to get more information, I was again interuppted and told brusquely that there was only drop off. Given that I was on my way, as described, I was hoping for some anwsers or guidance but was treated very rudely. Like I was being shoo'ed away, not invited to do business. Message received. I said I'd be looking into another location and was already hanging up to get out this unpleasant interaction and I heard part of a snappy rebuttal on the other side of the line. Wow.Listen to people, try have a conversation, not speak over them and reprimand with no suggested course of action or support. Maybe start with "I'm sorry you were allowed to make an appointment and waste your morning, here's what we can do". Major customer service fail.
