Out four sets of heads on four different motors only had one set that was able to be used the rest that he surfaced were not acceptable to be used and still have problems with the three vehicles

Took a 440engine to bob in February went to check on it 3 months later he told me it would be done next week and if he didn't call me mot to come back well a month later i went and got my engine and took it to another shop. Never do business with bob lane again

I was 16 the first time I had Bob (Jungle) do some block work for me. After 33 years of building engines for race teams with Nascar and teaching Automotive and Nascar, I wouldn't take my machine work anywhere else. The 1st block Jungle machined for me was a 400 small block, out of a Pontiac GTO and he did GREAT work!!!!!!!

Fixed the heads on our Honda Motor in a short time, fixed the valves in under 20 minutes while my husband waited. Great price. Saved us thousands of dollars. Has been helping our family in the past years. Would recommend him to anyone.

I had to choose one star because it wouldn't let me do the review without it but in my opinion it deserves zero. I have a FWD race car. Had to replace the head. Took replacement head to Bob Lane Machine Shop to be shaved and it took them two months to complete. My car was at the mechanics and it took them so long to get the head ready the mechanic got tired of waiting and I had to go pick up my car. So, Bo at Bob Lane Machine Shop agreed to do the head swap. Bo never shows up when he says he will. He didn't show up from the very beginning and it rained so the car and all the gaskets got wet and the head he just shaved rusted. He finally came and had to take the head back and resurface it. For two months we waited constantly calling. He would promise to come and never show up. He came one day and put the head on but never connected any of the wiring or lines to the new head. Still promises to come and finish the job because at this point we have missed half the race season. Still a no show. Called him again and he got a little upset and said "If I don't show up tomorrow you don't owe me anything". He said he only had an hour to complete the work. The next day he still did not show up. Two weeks later he still had not completed the job. We called him again and he said he was going to come down and put the motor mount and exhaust bolts and tire back on and that was it. Said he didn't know how to connect everything. Said he only works on engines. I asked him then why did he say he could to the job. He said just give me $125 for the work I did. I reminded him of the conversation of not owing him anything if he didn't show up to complete the work. He got mad and said again he would do the motor mounts, exhaust bolts and tire and that was it. Said he would come the next day and do it. As usual he never showed up. Now he is saying he isn't going to do anything else and sent our remaining parts to us by a friend and said if he isn't getting paid he isn't going to do anything else. So now we have a race car that has to be taken somewhere else. Don't let Bo do any work on your car. He is very unreliable and a liar. And as far as payment he chose not to show up and complete the job so he doesn't deserve to be paid. From now on I will take my business to Buddy and Son Machine Shop in Gastonia.

Charged me for bunch of stuff like cam bearings and freez plugs and block was cracked in cylinder. 135 extra paid for no reason other then an idiot

My Dad and I have done business with Bob (aka. Jungle) for 20 years. Have always made any issue right . I would never take work anywhere else and be over charged. Robert Lane is one of the best men I know. Always honest. Isn't that hard to find now? Great shop!!!
