What a fun little town. It's the birth place of Andy Griffith. The main street honors him in a big way. There are so many quaint little stores and food establishments. That little piece of the town has turned into Mayberry. Easy to walk. A fun little visit if you're looking for something to do.

May 2020, Mother's Day. The Caucasian owner or worker, on that day, let the door slam shut on my face as she rudely dismissed me as I was asking her a question. It was about 11 AM, she was opening the store. The week prior to this incident, I had spent $100 in her store. I never returned. She removed my first post of May 2020 where I posted her rude behavior. Well, I would like the public to know.

I love this place, the staff is always friendly and their selection of hot sauces can't be beat. It's a must-stop location for every trip to Mt. Airy!

Great customer service and a large assortment of souvenirs. There is a surcharge for using cards so paying in cash is heavily suggested at the register.

Such a wonderful store! My girlfriend and I visited the store today and Kristen (I may be spelling her name wrong ?) was working and she is just amazing. She told us about the owners and other things about the storefront, we definitely will be stopping back by here to shop for gifts and the hot sauces!!! 5 stars absolutely!

My sisters and I were in this store on 6/30/22. We were so excited to find a store with great T shirts and souvenirs to remember our trip to Mayberry. While looking around the store, we could overhear the lady at the counter being very rude to the other customers. We put our selections back because we didn't want to do business in such an unfriendly store. It upset us because the selection of merchandise was terrific. We asked at the welcome center in town if there were any other shops that would have great souvenirs because the lady working here was being rude to the customers inside the store. After looking around the town, we ended up going back to this store about an hourlater because it had the things we wanted. This time, the lady had a different attitude. I don't know what changed in that time span, but I'm certainly glad her customer service skills improved. I gave 2 stars based on her rudeness. Iwould give 5 stars, otherwise.had improved. Mayberry on Main is a great store for t-shirts and souvenirs. T-shirts are main item for sale and focus on Mt. AIRY, Pilot Mountain and Mayberry or Andy Griffith show. Coffee mugs featuring different ANDY Griffith show characters. Located right off of Main Street. No parking for specific store but you can find parking along side streets. They do not have a public restroom. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

People want to be in the theme. They should have training and they should be in a certain cast mode and that would keep the charm and the atmosphere of Maybery...First and foremost......... all the people at Mount airy Maybery are just terrific... We spent the whole day there. Had the mandatory pork chop sandwich. Secured the ride in the Barney police car...Since MT Airy is so famous for the last 40 years for simulating the Mayberry culture. Wonder "why' the drivers just wear uniforms... When I queried Mark the driver as to why didn't wear a Barney uniform he said it's it's' it's too warm' although he was wearing super casual heavy clothes. The people have an aversion to following him protocols that keep a theme and revenues going?... Places like Disney, cruise lines and many other businesses they have training programs and are pledged to their culture... This gent Mark had a great voice imitation of sheriff Andy Taylor. He could've worn Andy Taylor uniform? There's no doubt Evon is waiting for this recommendation and I'll probably be at the front page of the news and everybody be put to do a training program I get in the proper attire sometime in the near future let me know cause I'll come back by host dinner. Sheriff Taylor would be proud..whereever hs is he will know! Mahalo nui loa from Hawaii 79℉ ... PT29
