This specific location has many good finds oftentimes. I think people in Mount Airy don't know what they are getting rid of. Got a jacket and pants that I get compliments on literally every time I wear them.

Still disappointed at the attitude of the attendees during my recent donation stop. I always bring top quality things. All I got was a lesson about hangers. Really. If it's that devastating just take them off and throw them away. I thought I was helping you guys. How was I supposed to know? I don't think I even got a thank you. Maybe next time I'll just go to the dump and save yall some grief. What a waste of time.

Large store with plenty of selection and seemed to be quite busy with actively shopping customers toobut I was looking for booksand there seemed to be no rhyme or reason to the way the books were arranged...by subject, alphabetically....just random.Too difficult to shop that way so I left empty handed.

The price is high for hoodies on the winter they are supposed to help community I don’t think they are helping at all selling sweaters for $50 and $25.99 how they are helping people in need in this season. I’m not happy about that goodwill at all. For is not problem I will buy if I want to. That is almost the last hope for people who need help with winter clothes but the price is not affordable For poor people ?

Store could use some cleaning care and extra workers but overall nice to shop here.

Overpriced thrift store, jerky staff. I brought up an item that was broken to the cashier and asked if she could reduce the price, because the part I needed it for was still in tact. She said, "That wasn't broken when I put it out today," and I told her "Well, it's broken now along with a lot of other stuff back there." She wouldn't reduce the price, I didn't buy the item.Stick with Salvation Army in Mount Airy; the prices are more reasonable and the staff is nice. Or make the drive to any of the Goodwills in Winston Salem that have better prices.

I'm not a fan of most Goodwill stores because they pose as a charity but they give very little of their profit to actually help the needy. Meanwhile, they pay the people in their work programs way below minimum wage. And I often find dollar store items at the Goodwill for $2 used. But this location is actually comparatively nice.I have actually found several cool things there for decent prices. Yes, a lot of it is also overpriced, but that means you just have to dig through and find the gems that are worth it. Like I bought a pair of gorgeous lamp bases here for $19 for the pair. One of them didn't work (the knob to turn it on was broken off) and was missing its harp, but I had an extra repair kit that came with the one I needed for a lamp that my husband inherited, me it included those pieces. Then I ordered a pair of shades from Amazon for less than $40 for the set, and these lamps look like they cost me a couple hundred dollars each rather than the $30 I have invested in them. Every time I look at them, they make me happy. So there are definitely gems amidst the junk. You just need to have some time to dig through it all, and some experience with knowing the original value of things (or at least how to spot something of good quality for the price). Skip the $2 dollar store dishes and the used items you can find new at discount department stores for the same price or less and search out the nice antiques. Like me, you'll probably need to do some diy to get them looking good and/or working properly, but it might be worth it.The staff at this location is also much better than most. There's another Goodwill closer to me, but the staff there either overcharge you or are rude, and 99.9% of their stuff is overpriced junk. I almost never find anything of value at that one. So this one is more my go-to, even high it's further away.

I’m sorry, but I go to a lot of goodwills in the triad and this one has to be one of the highest pricing wise around. They hold onto furniture for 3-4 weeks and don’t mark it down when it sits. I have been in two times within those weeks and they weren’t willing to mark down the item none. Even when I was willing to take it that day. I find it a bit funny that I overheard the worker come out and state to another employee that they needed to make room for more furniture because they had nowhere else to place them. But…then wasn’t even willing to knock 10 dollars off of something that’s way overpriced anyways. This stuff is otherwise free. So sad that this goodwill especially only cares about the money.

I went there today and donated some nice things. They were many breakable items that I brought. I had them in a container and told them I needed the container. One of the guys that came out removed a wooden tower I had in the car. And was very careless including dragging it over my car and against my tail light. I told him to be careful of my car. He then took the container with the breakable items in it and I could hear that he had dumped it. I could hear them breaking.I complained about him to a woman that worked there. She said she would talk to him. He never said a word. Never apologized. I will not bring another thing back there . I had brought many things there in the past before. Never again.

The only joke is you replying acting like you actually care. You can put on a caring attitude in the online reviews all you want, but one visit to the store will be all the proof anyone needs to see how full of it you are. You could and should do better. If you genuinely believe there is no problem at this location then you’re either blind or part of the issue. Better yourself.

Not one of the better GW's I have been in. Their clothing areas were a mess; scrubs were in with jeans and dress pants, all under "pants". Absolutely no color sorting to any of areas. I will say the staff was very nice and keeping busy. There was no one standing around playing with their cell phones.
