My first visit and I will not return. My pedicure tech was rude in figuring out what service I wanted. He said, "Basic....cut ... polish and go?" I had to point to the price card and ask to see it. I was looking at it and he pointed at the top listing and said this is Basic... you want? I agreed. Then he started aggressively trimming my toe nails. I asked him to slow down. He said he only had 30 minutes as there was a timer. The tech had very very long pointed fingernails. I reached down and said Stop! Your finger nail is cutting into my toe! Then I asked, " Why do you not have a name tag like everyone else?" He said that he didn't feel like wearing it! I asked him his name. He said " Lin". The lady sitting in the chair next to mine looked at me and rolled her eyes. Lin asked me if I lived in Morganton? He said that the salon has been here 10 years. I said that I usually go to another salon.
Bottom line....This salon is HORRIBLE! They are definitely all about money and tips!! They have ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! They are rude, rough in their service! Definitely NOT the relaxing hour that I was looking forward to! You have choices and if you work hard for your money as I do, find a better salon!

‘Nails are us’ is definitely one of the worst places to go to get your nails or a pedicure done, do NOT visit this Solon.
On July 7, my mother and I went to this Solon and expecting a good experience we were very let down. My mother and I both wanted a fill in and a pedicure. My little sister (3) went and wanted her nails painted. They charged $30 to just paint her nails. No design. Just to paint them. Everything else went smoothly until my mother sat down for her pedicure, the man who did hers was very rough and more concerned about the timer and how much time was left rather than her getting the pedicure she paid for. He didn’t want to cut or file her nails and didn’t cut the cuticles either. He kept grabbing her foot with aggression. After we walked out I noticed that my nails was very blotchy and honestly looked really bad. I tried to be kind and respectful about it, I went back in and talked to one of the techs and they went and got ‘Cindy’ the manager, I’m assuming. Either way, she was very rude and told me that color has changed when I asked her why I wasn’t told that she told me I could wait a while and have it fixed. I informed her I didn’t have time, that I had places I needed to be this afternoon and then she told me “I don’t know why you came back in” as a customer who paid an outrageous amount for two pedicures, two fill ins, and a child to get her nails painted. I cannot understand why she was so rude when I was just trying to talk to her.
I work in customer service myself so I know how frustrating it can be when someone comes back to complain about something when it’s busy but regardless I always try and treat people with the respect I’d like to receive. Cindy did not do that, nor did she care. I will not be returning to this Solon place, I agree with most of the other comments about cleanliness, my nail techs tools looked nasty as well. I cannot recommend this place to my enemy.

Hannah was amazing with my 9 year old. She did the cutest little flower and made sure it was prefect. Even if my daughter wouldn't stop moving.. Highly recommend Hannah.

This place is a legit chop shop. Believe the bad reviews. This place is absolute trash. I haven’t been to a salon like this in years. Stay the hell away from this salon.
I am used to high end places in Charlotte where you get treated very well and they take care of your nail beds and cuticle. This place is absolutely not high-end. The first tech I saw pretended not to understand me when I asked for my nails to be clipped shorter. Also instead of soaking or filing my old dip off he RIPPED the dip off my nails and at one point I told him it hurt and he ignored me. I told the receptionist that I wanted a dip SNS manicure. Then the male tech got very rude and aggressive with me when I told him that I did not want gel and that I had asked for a dip manicure. They switched me with someone and she was kind of nicer and did a good job, but are you kidding me? You want me to pay $55 for a manicure and you’re going to speak to me that way ridiculous absolute TRASH.
If you think that this place is good just know you don’t know ANY better. There are WAY better salons and techs out there that won’t act this way. They also drilled my nail way too much like people don’t want their nail beds drilled like that anymore, get with the times. I also left bleeding which is absolutely insane and there was a napkin with someone else's blood(?) on the counter next to me. My nails hurt and they are sore due to all the drilling and the excessive cuticle clipping. That has not happened to me in years won’t be back here. This place needs to be shut down.

DO NOT GO HERE!!
I took my daughter to get her nails filled in on Saturday, June 15th. The tech rushed through doing her nails. I didn’t think anything of it at first because they looked nice. Fast forward to today- June 17th. Her nail color is already chipping and peeling off. It’s only been 2 days! They charged me $45 which is ridiculous within itself. I would expect they would last longer than 2 days. We will not be going back!

So ..I've came to this place for well over a year now. The 2 ladies that do my nails are phenomenal ??? BUT the owner is not a nice person at all. If I have ever in my life felt not wanted at a place the owner sure made me feel that way today. Sorry I will never be back!!!

ABSOLUTELY THE WORST EVER EXPERIENCE GETTING A PEDICURE!!!!! NANCY (supposedly the owner) is the most hateful, rudest, disrespectful individual on the planet!!! So while "Henry" was doing my pedicure, he was very rough, I asked him to be gentle as I have neuropathy which makes them very sensitive and he responded by laughing and offered me a glass of wine! Then he was done in 5 minutes. I asked him if he was not going to finish! He stated he was. I will NOT support another salon that is NOT AMERICAN OWNED! I have to wonder how many of these people are actually licensed to practice nails! The tools he used on me were filthy and obviously used on others prior to me as well so yeah NO MORE!! And I will be contacting the State Board of Cosmetic Arts in reference to the uncleanliness and licensing!

This was my first time there along with my Mother and my Daughter. They open at 10. We go there around 11 and were seated with no waiting! Both walls on either side are lined with pedicure stations. There were 2 rows in the middle for nails. We didn't count, but there were around 10 nail technicians working. My Mother and I got pedicures. Such a relaxing experience with beautiful results. My Daughter got a gel French manicure that looks great. We will definitely be back! Great experience!

I called and on their website they said 35 for a fill in not a whole set so I went and had my nails filled in and they charged me 50 bucks when I paid 50 bucks to have the WHOLE set done not to mention she left spots on two of my nails

Unless you have a specific manicurist that does your nails .. Do not go and get the next available person.. I have had to do this with my last two Pedicure because of my work schedule.. I am so disappointed with both.. They set a timer and set it in the floor as soon as you sit down. It’s like they are only allowed so many minutes.. No matter which level of Pedicure you get.. Today, I showed the person a picture of how I wanted a flower design on one toe and he told me “No” All I done differently was changed the color of polish.. I thought he would get a different person to do the flower.. Next thing I know he tells me I’m finished.. I should’ve paid more attention.. That’s on me.. Needless to say I left no tip..

I hate this salon. I have been many times in the past two years, and they treat their customers really terribly. No accountability, no respect, poor business practices, etc. Family run business but the family members don't care about the business. Staff turnover is unreal, pretty sure that employees working 7 days a week is breaking a federal labor law. It's a shame. I have decided to never go back and will take the time to warn others whenever I get a chance. What goes around comes around!

Never again. Had a pedicure and worse job ever. Cindy repeatedly left to go do other things and didn't compete the same thing on both feet. Waste of money and time.

TLDR: They deserve 0 stars. Rude employees, ruder owner, they will NOT honor appointment times made in advance, many of their polishes are old and will not cure or set correctly, they will argue if they make a mistake so it doesn’t do any good even if you aren’t happy, and they will 100% talk about you in front of you (in their native language so you don’t understand) and make you feel uncomfortable. Long time customer of +2 years, and have I gone with my MIL every single month like clockwork, so I am speaking from experience. I am very offended, I wish them the worst, and I will not be back.
This place is the worst. The owner Nancy is extremely rude, as well as some of her employees that have been there for a while including See and Cindy who will be nice one day and then ignore you the next. They do NOT honor appointments, so be prepared for them to get started an hour behind schedule, and when they finally do get started be prepared for them to ask your tech to stop what she/he is doing and go paint a design on someone else’s nails. This happened to me last month, and I’ve been going for 2 years. I had a 5pm appointment and she started at 5:45, and then they came to get her to do a design. I said no, please finish and the owner and other employees talked badly about me to each other and another customer right in front of me. I made an appointment yesterday for today and once I drove 30 minutes to get there I was told to go shop around and come back in 1.5 hours. I was told this at 1:55pm for a 2pm appointment. They just don’t care. They had started someone else right before my appointment. This has happened so many times that I have finally had it with this place and will not be back. Customers beware! You will be happier ANYWHERE else!

Requested style: Short round and nails are square and different lengths
Daughter requested square and hers are round
Cleanliness: Started bleeding and continued to file without cleaning

Update: was asked to call the store so they could "fix it for me". They refused to do anything because I was there a month ago and not a week ago? Was told I could come back, pay full price for another service and she would do my nails herself (manager). No thanks! Why would i come back after being treated so badly? Do not go here.
