Burke Primary does a good job at communicating and getting back with you. My dad sees Dr Gessner and his assistant, Kayla, is great. However, we are not happy with the care dad has received from Gessner. It seems he will not do anything, no referral, no medicine. It's really uncalled for because something could be done. Today, we decided to leave Dr. Gessner.

I have gone to Burke Primary Care for years and years. Dr Gould is my Primary Dr and he takes great care of me. He makes sure I get those awful test like mammogram and colonoscopy etc when he knows I'm trying to avoid it. I have never had to wait long in waiting room and the nurses and office staff are helpful and friendly.

I do not recommend Burke Primary Care for children, they saw my 8 and 10 year olds for sole throats and runny noses, they were misdiagnosed with viral colds. After two days of getting worse, we went to pediatric urgent care and they were properly tested and both had strep throat. They were started on antibiotics immediately and should have been started two days prior, prolonging their illness. There are not a lot of options in Morganton for Pediatric Doctors, but I would still recommend using the ones available over this place.

Go here if you want to wait HOURS for you scheduled appointment. I had an “appointment” at 11:30am, arrived on-time, and waited for two hours … but ended up having to leave before being seen because there were still people ahead of me, and I had another appointment reasonably scheduled for three hours later. When I asked why they scheduled the appointment for that time if there was not sufficient staffing to see me, I was told because walk-in are accepted. Wasted several hours time.

I have been a patient at Burke Primary for many years. My wife and three kids are all patients there as well. We could not recommend a better practice. They are always very kind and helpful. They try their best to get you in quickly. All the physicians we have seen have been knowledgeable and understanding. We appreciate them always being there for our family!!!

They are the rudest people at the front desk and I told them just cancel my kids appointment I'll take them to the other Dr I wouldn't never go there again or anything

Was misdiagnosed by Dr Gough and could have died. All Dr Smith ever did was fill my bucket with pills. That’s all Smith knows to do. Dr Plyler told me my thyroid labs were normal and they were very bad. They just look at labs and not the person.

Everyone that works here is very polite, professional and knowledgeable. The ladies at the check-in greet you with a smile and get you checked in quickly. I have never had to wait very long past my appointment time. We love our practitioner, Chris Shatley. He always has a plan and listened to your comments and concerns. I feel like he's very up to date with new medications and treatments. We moved here 3 years ago and had to start all over establishing new doctors. Chris was very helpful with getting me to all the different specialists I see.
