This was probably the dirtiest hotel we have ever stayed in. When we drove to the hotel, the outside was sketchy. There was constant noise throughout the day/night. There was private hairs around the tub. The toilet had sand caked in it. The comforter was stained in multiple places. The blanket had multiple brown stains. Upon discovering this, we asked for another bed set and was given another blanket with even more brown stains on the white blanket. When we went down for breakfast, we asked for more towels and room service and was informed we could not get room service until we had been there for 3 days. We also asked about hand soap since there was none at the sink. The front desk lady that morning argued with me saying it was in the room even though I told her it was shampoo and not hand soap. We decided we wanted to leave and the manager was accommodating and cancelled our remaining stay. At the same time that we went to cancel, another gentleman came in and said he had what looked like blood stains in his room. I would not recommend this hotel.

Ask for Jessica front desk assistant very helpful and kind great personality every question we ask she had the answer to we had a slight problem and she fixed it in 5 secs beds are comfy and guest are so nice I recommend this hotel to all my friends and family and thank you again for all your service

Great staff, great prices. The environment is always chill and makes me feel at home. I recommend this hotel to anyone in this area. The review don't do this place justice

I stayed at the location in Morehead City. The hotel was fairly close to the beach, that was the only good thing. The parking lot was filthy, cigarette butts everywhere. People hanging around outside. The comforter had stains as well as the walls and shower curtain. I also noticed mold. Def won’t be staying here again.

We were overcharged way more than what they quoted us when we called to see if they had any available rooms. It was really hard finding where our room was. When we pulled up there were literally needles and condom wrappers in the parking lot in front of our room. I felt super uncomfortable with the people just "hanging out" in the parking lot that were not hotel guests. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from this place.

My husband took our sons and Brother-in-law down for a chartered fishing trip last weekend. We called a week ahead to reserve a rollaway cot for our youngest son, who we didn't think would be able to go due to his work, but was able to go. The lady said she put us down for one, but when they checked in, they had given the only two they had to workers in the area! So, my husband had to sleep in a chair for 2 nights!!!
Also, they called the front desk to get more towels and washcloths, they never brought them, so our BIL had to go up there and get them, even though they said they would deliver them. Terrible customer service!!
They all said they will pay extra for a better hotel next year because they are making this an annual event. My BIL also saw several bugs, they didn't look like roaches, in their room. He went through his clothes piece by piece outside of their home to make sure none of them got in his luggage and came home with him..
All 5 of them said they would never stay there again and wouldn't recommend it either.

Great beach town hotel with lots of beach town hotel character... The bed was super comfortable.. great value for the price... Definitely stay there again on the next visit.

We were so hesitant looking for a hotel last minute. But as soon as we walked in the door, Jessica greeted us and was so helpful and just all around great! The rooms are nice and we couldn't ask for more !

They wouldn’t let me check in with my US passport because they needed a form of id they could fit in the tiny scanner they have at reception.

I booked and paid $222.09 for a 2 night stay through bookety. I was told there would be a $100 refundable deposit and a 7.99 destination fee charged at check in. Upon checkin or checkout we got no paperwork but was told our deposit would be refunded through our credit card. The next day Garnet Inn and Suites charged my credit card $320.25. They claimed the extra money was because we smoked in the room. I smoke, I field-dress my cigarettes when done. There are NO outside garbage cans to put the butts in so I put them in the room trash instead of throwing them on the ground like others had. That was a mistake as I guess it is considered smoking in the room. No where on their website or anywhere else is it written that you will be charged $320.25 extra for having cigarette butts in your trash.
This was a handicapped room. The shower had a handheld shower head, the wall attachment for the head was at the shower curtain, above the side of the tub and rinsed the curtain not you, unless you stood on the edge of the tub. The room is not wheelchair accessible. There is not enough room between the foot of the bed and the desk/dresser combo to fit a wheelchair to get to the bathroom even if you move the large, on wheels, desk chair out of the way. I bring my own soaps, which was a good thing as there were no soaps, shampoo or lotion at the sink or bathtub. The tile floors were filthy. I accidentally splashed water on the floor at the sink and used a washcloth to clean it up, the washcloth was no longer white. The room door is very hard to open and once opened you have to keep pushing till you are all the way inside before you let go or it will slam you into the door frame as it closes automatically, fast and hard. I was lucky that i had a man with me that opened the door for me after i was slammed between the door and door frame the first time i used the door. This is not a place to get a quiet night's sleep.

Please please please avoid! They have bedbugs!! As of April 10th. Stayed in room 105. Woke up around 3am to some in the pillows. left asap. Usually dont write reviews but those bugs are impossible!! Beware beware.
