I've just spent the last hour reading reviews from the various salvage yards in the area and am impressed by the number of good reviews that Atlantic Auto Salvage receives. However, I am even more impressed with the owners response to the poor reviews. For example, one recent bad review came in where the customer said that they had a terrible experience and went even a bit further to say that they were racially profiled. Okay- that kind of thing happens. Right? After all, we are in the deep south. It's not totally inconceivable that one could be racially profiled. And after having spent some 20 years in the area for over 20 years, it should be said that that bias doesnt just flow in one direction. Even in this day and age. But, then again, people with an axe to grind will pull the race card or any other card that they have in order to hurt the business. Isnt that the specific purpose of the poor review? To hurt the businezz. And when one feels the compulsion to write a bad review and especially when they feel like they cannot provide enough plausible substance to their story they will pull out all the stops albeit race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, etc. Nothing is off limits. But whether this happened or not is not really important. What is important is the response to the review. I wad told years ago that businesses can hurt themselves by responding to bad reviews and that might be true in some circumstances. But this response was next level. He took the "are you sure that you are reviewing the right place" - "I've talked to everyone here and nobody can remember anything even similar to this event even happening" road. Address the concern, provide just a touch of empathy and then deny, deny deny! Top it off with hope you have a blessed day and may the sun always shine on you and you have the recipe for an EXPERT LEVEL bad review response. BRAVO! That particular bad review was even well written which could add a certain amount of validy for some readers but for me, in the end, I just felt bad for the owner. Honest or not - well played sir, well played indeed.

I needed 4 bolts for an oil pan. I was from out of town needing to fix my truck. These guys went above and beyond to get me these bolts. The best customer service ever!

This place is one of the best salvage yards I have ever dealt with. They went above and beyond with a 99 ford f150 transmission I bought from them. As far as to purchase new filter and gasket to go with it.also steam cleaned it before loading it up in my vehicle.would strongly recommend this place to anyone!!!!!!!!

I contacted this fender looking for used tires because they are a auto recycler. They did not have what I needed but they did order new ones for the best price that I've been able to get anywhere in the area. Yes it is a salvage yard. No, it's not clean and pretty. The people were very, very nice and very thoughtful offering us coffee while we waited. When they discovered something in the wheels that needed attention they came out in the yard while we wandered around and found us to tell us about it rather than just putting the tires on and forgetting about it. How I would give him a very high rating for good customer service and good prices. Terry was the lady who assisted us in placing the order.

If they say they need to call you back, don't bother giving them your name and number. Just hang up. They will NEVER call you back. Lost a couple of customers due to their inability to follow through with their promise to call you back.

I wish I had the opportunity to give them no stars. My boyfriend recently visited your establishment to exchange a part he had acquired. He was provided with the incorrect part for his specific model, which necessitated this visit. Unfortunately, we were confronted with a deeply troubling encounter marked by disrespect and overt racial bias. While the offending individual's identity remains unknown to us, I can describe her as a Caucasian senior woman with a noticeable bald spot at the center of her head.Despite my boyfriend's unwavering politeness and courtesy throughout the interaction, this individual displayed a disconcerting level of disrespect towards him. To make matters worse, when another employee approached the situation, rather than inquiring about the quality of customer service my boyfriend was receiving, the employee in question instead inquired about her well-being. Such behavior is highly unprofessional and does not reflect the standard of service we anticipated.My boyfriend sought assistance in locating the required part within your inventory. We were aware that this item was in stock, as a different employee had confirmed its availability over the phone prior to our visit. To our dismay, my boyfriend was informed that the item was out of stock within less than 20 seconds. This sequence of events not only suggests racial profiling but also indicates a blatant disregard for my boyfriend's time and a mismanagement of resources.Furthermore, the situation took an even more distressing turn when the female individual continued to harass my boyfriend in the parking lot, completely unprovoked. She engaged in intrusive behavior such as peering through the windows of his vehicle and even threatened to involve law enforcement, despite my boyfriend being engaged in lawful and non-disruptive activity. This behavior was wholly inappropriate. We initially held high expectations for your establishment, fueled by the positive reviews we had encountered. However, this recent encounter has cast a shadow of doubt upon the competence and professionalism of your staff. Will not be coming back nor will I be recommending this place to any of my peers. Shameful that people are still like this and can’t act mature despite their old age.
