My son loved tutor time and progressed in his speech very quickly. The daily routines and structure in the 3’s room was great because my son always knew what they were doing next..nap time, snacks, playtime etc. His teachers were amazing and helped make the transition easy for me and my son. Having the app to see the cameras and updates every hour or so was so reassuring. It was sad to leave when we moved. Cannot recommend enough!

My son went here from May 2017 until August 2021. I absolutely loved it and how attentive they were to my child however when the political environment began to change 2 years ago so did their attitude. It was one MLK day that I finally had enough and began counting the days for my son to start kindergarten. After I picked up my then 4 year old son at the end of the day, he gets in the car and explains because he is white that he will be going to a white school. His friends will go to a brown school. I tried to explain to him how this was in the past and that no longer exists. He begins to argue with me because HOW EXACTLY will a four year old understand this logic.I took this to the school the next day and explained that this was not appropriate at all and we as parents should have been notified. But NOT ONLY THAT, they don't seem to understand that in the 21st century people, no matter of color, could have a mixed cultural and ethnic background. I explained that my son's father is Cuban and with that alone his abuela is 50% African and Chinese descent. My son is now seeing himself differently from those of darker skin color in the family because THIS SCHOOL took my son's innocence away. How am I suppose to undo that?! He will not only see the color of his family members skin but begin to see himself differently and feel isolated. The woman I spoke to gas lighted me and told me that no other child or parent complained...completely missing the point. I CANNOT believe that in this day in age I have to deal with a group of people so ignorant. My son towards the end began to have behavioral problems and I believe this or something in addition was the reason for his behavior.he loved this place but probably began to feel like the odd one out and how he couldn't trust them after I provided conflicting information. Of course, I get blamed though and told something needs to change at home.Talk about segregation to school age children but not toddlersI will not put my money towards this school ever again. Btw, he is doing amazing in kindergarten and fully excelling! So it wasn't me like tutortime made me feel like.

Tutor time Mooresville allowed my daughter to be bullied to the point she didn't want to return there. She's a very friendly sweet 5 yr old (as reported by her school teachers) so when I brought up the abuse to Tammy, I was told If I decided to keep her there they'd look into the abuse. (obviously a "motivated" response not based on improving the environment in her class with Connie.) The truth is that if they knew anything about child development they wouldn't have such a wide age range of kids in the same class. I'm not taking the word of my daughter. My husband and I both noticed the kids bullying our daughter on the play ground. In one instance that our daughter was crying Connie sat her out of the game and not the boy that hit her in the face as he jerked the ball away from her. My daughter was even told by her teacher not to tell me when she was pushed down or treated meanly. That she could only tell a teacher. It took months for me to get my daughter to tell me why she "didn't want to go to tutor time" or "can I please go to a new tutor time?" The last thing is there is no structure in the after school program. Tammy said it was designed that way because of the age differences of the children. So, the children basically get into groups and entertain themselves which creates a great opportunity for bullying behavior. Im not sure all the teachers are like this but I wouldn't recommend you do the after school program with Connie.

I have two children, ages 2&8. Both of my children love the school and the experiences TT offers. Prior to the pandemic, we also experienced their summer camp curriculum and it was equally amazing. Tammy and her staff work hard, communicate often and I’m happy to have found them.

We switched our Foster children to Tutor Time due to several issues of my children getting hurt from teachers at another school. Everything seemed to be fine at the beginning. But as time progressed, our oldest, started to have some behavior issues. We had been taking him to Therapy, and it seemed to help. Unfortunately, their Mom and Dad had been in and out of jail and this caused him to relapse. Everytime that he would act out, they would send him home. Which is what he wanted. I understand as a former preschool teacher that you have to protect all the children, but no one protected my son. The last week of the year my husband received a call stating that yet again that we needed to come and get him. They at this point and time kicked him out. Which through our world in to a tail spin because my husband and I both work and we had to scramble to find a place for him. We were lucky enough to and he has flourished and blossomed.

Us and our foster child came in to be registered.. after touring we were instructed " come back once you have the voucher" ... we then called dss who said they have already sent. We later call in the afternoon and were told the spot has since been taken, and were told that since we rejected the registration fee we lost the spot. We weren’t informed that we had to pay then to hold the spot and were instructed to come back and pay the registration form once we have received the voucher.. which was already sent to them..

The teachers were nice. But my child was left alone on the potty and crying when she was picked up. Also the woman that runs the place came off a bit rude to me. Now my child has a fear of going on the potty. So thanks for that trauma tutor time

Our experience has been great in the twos room and now the preschool 1 room. The teachers and staff are loving and kind and emulate behaviors I want to see in my own child. My toddler has learned so many academic and social skills and I'm always impressed by her learning. We will soon have a baby in the youngest room and I'm looking forward to seeing the many practices they have and allow such as cloth diapering, careful breastmilk handling, paced bottle feeding, and of course lots of cuddles. I'm always pleasantly surprised to not see babies just left to cry in the two baby rooms, which I did see at another local daycare and immediately knew that one wasn't for us!

Before I enrolled my son at Tutor Time in 2014, I had toured a handful of other centers in the area. Due to his October birthday he missed the cut off date for Kindergarten, so I was looking for a strong Pre-K program to prepare him for the demands of Kindergarten. When I arrived for my tour, I met Ms. Tammy. She made me feel right at home. She was a "real" person. As she introduced me to Ms. Katie and then Mrs. Head. I knew this was the place for my son.Now three years later, he still attends TutorTime's After School Program. The staff has become our extended family.

Tutor Time does a great job creating activities for the children to help them develop socially and intellectually. My daughter has really blossomed into a vibrant young girl here and now loves to read!! I'll be staying with Tutor Time.

The staff is friendly and they genuinely care about the kids. They use technology that allows you to see your child periodically through the day by sending pictures and videos. You get updates with every nap, feeding, diaper and any fun stuff. They also give family discounts and some corporate discounts.
