I can't recommend this place enough! Leaving on a road trip next week and wanted to make an appointment to make sure everything on the car was good to go! Called and the two front desk men were personable, knowledgeable, and very informative! Even offered to take us within 5 miles anywhere while our car was being worked on. Overall a trustworthy place, very clean, and awesome staff! Thanks again for your amazing service and hospitality!

I've gone to this shop a few times and the guys are pretty friendly. They are straight forward and sat with me and brainstormed some issues I had with my vehicle. Definitely recommend this shop.

AC stopped working. Charged very little for the diagnosis! Told me up front the price and did not get a run around. It was fixed in a timely manner and I picked it up. Very nice and professional, and honest!! Will continue to bring my vehicle there.Service: Air conditioning

You should definitely bring your car here! Weather its a quick fix (cheap repair) or an extensive one like mine was (not cheap). they explain why and all the details involved. They stand behind their work and you can count on getting a great price from a great group. I wouldn’t go any where else.

I went for 2 reasons: 1) a low battery light warning and 2) a bulge in my tire. For the low battery light warning, they tested my battery and said it was good, but recommended I have them "charge" the battery just to be sure. I paid them $70 for it. I now know that's a scam. There's no such thing for a healthy battery. In regards to the tire issue, I went in on a Thursday when it was determined that a new tire was needed. I clearly stated several times that I was going out of town on Saturday, so the tire had to be replaced on Friday. They assured me that a new tire would be delivered and installed on Friday and took payment for such. On Friday morning, they called and said the battery they received from the warehouse was damaged, so they would not be able to install the tire until the following Monday. I again reminded them that I was going out of town on Saturday and asked for a refund of the cost of the tire not yet received. They refused to issue a refund. Only after several calls did they finally agree to give me a refund so I could have the tire replaced elsewhere on Friday. The owner then had someone call me to tell me I was banned from the establishment for life. I'm totally fine with the "ban" as I will never do business with them again. However, they still send me promotional fliers--which I wish they wouldn't. BEWARE!

PLEASE AVOID Honest-1 auto care at all costs!! Let me start off by saying that they have since deleted this review off of their own website. That is very telling about a business who deletes any bad reviews to make themselves look good. I brought my vehicle to them to diagnose a P0171 lean code. I provided them a list of all the things I had already replaced on the car to aid them in diagnosing. They determined it was the lower intake gasket, on the manifold side, that was the vacuum leak and they replaced it. I should mention that instead of doing a proper vacuum test using a smoke machine or vacuum tester, they sprayed brake clean around until they found the spot. I paid a little over $700 for the diagnosis and repair (yes, this is much higher than what other shops would charge). I picked the vehicle up and on my way home the check engine light comes on again. This time it showed a new code in addition to the previous one. I took it back and the next day they determined the gasket they installed was ripped and they replaced again. 2 months later my car is still having intermittent issues and the check engine light comes on for the same code. I took it back to them and they are saying it's a whole list of things, which they previously said were fine. They said my mass air flow sensor is faulty, my valve cover gasket is leaking oil, and my upstream and downstream o2 sensors are toast. They said the upstream o2 sensor is covered in oil. I have literally replaced all that 2 months ago and re-checked today. The valve cover is not leaking and the o2 sensors are functioning and not covered in oil. That was it for me... I could not believe how dishonest this auto repair shop is. I've never been told so many different conflicting stories about what the issue is and what they've replaced and what is fine and what isn't. It's absurd. I can't imagine how many customer they take advantage of, because they do not know any better. If you are in the Mooresville area, I would highly recommend Peebles automotive instead. They've done work on some of my other cars and it's fixed the first time and always a fair price. UPDATE AFTER OWNER'S RESPONSE:Would like to address Honest-1's response to my review. What a shameful business."You returned two davs later and reported the check engine light came back on, was showing the same code, and vehicle had a high idle since repairs were made." - no I returned no more than 40 minutes later. I didn't make it home before the light came back on. "We found your MAF was not OEM quality ( all parts installed by you were after-market)" - how do you know all parts installed by me were not OEM? The only thing that was aftermarket was the MAF. EVERY OTHER PART was OEM. So you're wither a deceitful lying business or you just make up things to justify your terrible service. "An initial scan revealed many of the same codes were present and that the after-market parts you replaced were most likely contributing to your issue." - what an absolute bold-faced lie. Nothing was aftermarket at that point. The only thing replaced, that was aftermarket, was the MAF and the OEM one was put back in. So this is a lie. Your apology is insincere and you're clearly trying to make the customer look like they're at fault instead of taking ownership for being unable to fix my vehicle. Instead of making it right when I brought it back a couple months later with the same issue, you want to continue to charge me for different repairs to try to address the same issue that you were unable to fix the first time, when I paid you $700.

My mom's car had muffler / catalytic problems , took it in and it was $1600 to get everything fixed that they said was wrong. she drove it for about 2 weeks and it started acting up again, took it back and they charged her another $1500 to fix some other part of the muffler , now her we are 2 weeks later and it again sounds like there is a hole in her muffler. We will be taking it back and I can promise you she will not pay one penny to this place and her car will be properly fix and a BBB complaint will be filed.

Yesterday I had a bit of a snafu at another company when I brought in my vehicle for an oil change. Honest-1 had me towed within 30 minutes, the men who handled my situation inside (Chris and Lucas I believe were their names) were friendly, attentive, personable, and outstandingly helpful. I absolutely felt my time was valued. They handled everything, offered me an on-site loaner vehicle (with proof of full coverage insurance), called me with updates to keep me informed, and everything was resolved and in beautiful shape just 24 hours later. I cannot say enough about their great professionalism and care. I will definitely be returning here for my vehicle needs. Thanks for making what could have been a quite stressful experience into a wonderful one!!Service: Auto maintenance

I just moved to Morrisville and needed a vehicle inspection. I looked for a business with high ratings and found Honest-1. I was not disappointed. The staff was so friendly and helpful. Service was great. They even left a packet of cookies in my cup holder with a thank you note for using their business. A+++Service: Vehicle safety inspection

I moved from San Diego and took all three of my cars for safety checks and they did a great job. They even found a burnt out bulb that the Ford dealership tried to charge me $300 to fix. This is a great place and I will recommended to all my my friends.

Brought our vehicle in for a brake inspection and oil change, knowing it should be about time for brakes. We were told the brakes are in great shape.....3 weeks later the rear brakes were metal on metal. Could have been an inexpensive brake pad change, instead we needed pad and rotors. They either didn't want to do brakes that day or were hoping to make more money on rotors later. Mavis on 150 came through for us at the last minute.Service: Auto maintenance

Had a humming noise coming from under the motor near transmission. Honest-1 Auto Care checked Honda and told us it needed a new transmission $5-6000 dollars. Shocked, decided to get a second opinion from Statesville Transmission, they drove it around the block said transmission seemed fine, leave it for further check. Called following week, turns out a loose metal heat shield, they fixed No charge, amazing! We went back to Honest Care and told them of misdiagnosis and asked for a refund. The Owner/Manager was reluctant to reimburse us, but finally agreed. Advise You not to take car for any service other than a simple fluid change.
