If it was possible I would give them six stars. I went in there looking for something specific and they offered to order for me but I said no and looked around and eventually found a couple books that I didn't think I was looking for. They even have great events there too. I only wish that they had job openings then I would work there it would be the perfect job for me while I work on my poetry and get to know people. If you like books, a chill environment to read those books and cool people then this is the perfect place for you. 10/10 would visit more frequently again.

Fred & June's Books is easily accessed off Main Street in downtown Mooresville. It is a cozy shop with a wide selection of books to choose from.
I've stopped by a few times and was delighted to receive such personal service. The owner promptly guided me to the genre I was seeking and was happy to offer an appropriate recommendation. When my book of choice was not in stock, it was ordered and available within a few days.
Steven (the owner) was formerly a teacher. He is personally invested in the art of literature as a business, as an avid reader, and as a form of community service. All things considered, shopping at Fred & June's book store is of great value!

I love this place! Recently they held space for a middle school book club, their exchange program for books is a really great option and they are always posting positive things about other local businesses. I appreciate their sense of community. They also have a free book cart sometimes which is pretty cool.

the friendliest bookshop in town. the selection of new and used books are always changing and evolving. i could spend hours here just looking through the stacks (and have done so on multiple occasions). I'm happy to see that Mooresville finally got an independent bookstore that it so desperately needed. also, their book credit program is amazing!

I visited them for the first time and to my surprise all the books they have outside are free, and they also had a craft activity for the children. Needless to say, I will be back soon!

I’m so completely and utterly charmed.
My friend and I participated in the 2024 Book Crawl, we hit 14 stores in one day and this was my favorite. It’s like someone designed a book store with ME in mind! A perfectly curated collection of both recent releases and classics, PLUS secondhand books alongside pristine new copies, marked down to very reasonable prices. Also, they catalog ALL the books so they can look up in their system if they have what you’re looking for, and the loveliest staff with the patience to do so?

The people running this store are kind and welcoming. It is designed to allow you to shop quickly or hang out for a while. This store offers the typical and unique book options in such a peaceful environment. Even if it's a bit of a drive, it's worth the trip.
