If I could give 0 stars, I would. While the front desk was very kind and accommodating to my needs, the woman I met to finish the required paperwork was one of the cruelest people I have ever met. I needed an adult license, and this woman’s first words to me are to mumble under her mask and then scream at me when I politely asked her to repeat. The paperwork took 10 minutes because her and the other women in the cubicles were either talking amongst themselves or outwardly laughing at me to my face for seeming nervous. When the road test was finished, my proctor slammed my passenger car door and stormed out without saying a word. When I followed, it took her 5 minutes to grumble out that I had passed.I traveled an extra 45 minutes to this DMV because the staff had been so overwhelmingly polite when I went for my permit, only to recieve what I can only describe as petty bullying from women that didn’t seem too happy about their professions at the DMV (with no choice in sight but to take it out on teenagers they’ve never met, apparently). Absolutely the most immature behavior I’ve experienced from a middle aged employee.

These guys need to get with the times and start taking digital copies or things. Very frustrating when you have super limited hours & people have to bring printed copies of things. It's not how the world works anymore.

I had to go get my license renewed.Arrived at 11:30 for walk ins. People were already there. They started calling a few people in at a time. But noon we were greeted by a wonderful lady who was pleasant. Took a few in at a time and would get more as the line went down.Overall I was on my way home within a hour. Linda was very nice and the checkin lady at the desk was helpful to those people who had any questions.Julie

Garbage. My family was charged $50 today upon taking a CDL test. I received a text from my wife after nearly completing my text and after responding was told I was "out of time" and "failed" by some lady employee. She then pointed to a 6" x 6" black and white piece of paper taped up in the corner of the room saying use of mobile phones are not permitted. Not ONE word prior to this. They expect you to see this piece of paper 10 feet away from where you're sitting down.This was race driven, as I've done more investigation. Black supervisor discriminating against white people. That much is clear. Will be filing a complaint with the state.

Lumpy Lady who controls the line is on a power trip. Rude. Disrespectful. Patronizing. Clearly hates her job. Just quit!! Honestly, why do you stay somewhere you hate just to make other people’s lives miserable? Such a waste of life and of space

Coming from another state as new residents... DMV is never a great visit, time wise, but this set up takes the cake. Wow, NC you can do better than this.. it’s not that hard. Can’t imagine how much time people miss of work/school just sit here. No appointments available (in any nearby office/county/town for 3 months). Walk-in is the only option to make the 60 day rule for new residents to license up. Nonsense. Luckily, employees are reasonably nice.

The lady in the front desk is so rude!I believe they should train them to be more respectful and polite..such a bad experience !She should be fired or at least put her in an anger management issue treatment if she wants to be working in a costumer services position.

The worst possible experience, they should fire the lady on the front ! Such a joke ! Yelling at the people ? The place should be control by people that actually know how to treat people , hope the lady in the front get fired for her behavior!

The ability for zero stars isn’t here but this is absolutely the worst dmv ever with walk ins and size of dmv and service. The efficiency of this dmv is minimal. Understaffed , rude staff (non caring) whether the process moves at at least working pace. Make sure you have your entire day clear or schedule a appt for 6 months out.

I took my son to get his provisional license in the morning we were 15 minutes early and had to wait 30 minutes which was fine. Once we got called back I realized why they were behind, it was because they were talking amongst themselves too much. The lady that was helping us seemed scatterbrained and something that should have taken 5 minutes took 20 minutes. Later this afternoon I realized the signature on my son’s license is not his, I went back to ask them about it and she said that was the signature from the last time he was there. No it’s not the last time he was there was to get his permit and his name on the permit is printed and the one on his license is a scribbled signature. She never had him sign for his license today. This may seem small but having someone else’s signature on his license is annoying to me. And she kept telling me it was his but I don’t understand how it is if this was the second time he’s ever been to the DMV.

I had an appointment and I had a good experience in this DMV. Staff was nice, helpful and fast. My experience was better here than in Huntersville.For people don’t have an appointment walk-in starts at 12:00pm.

Very kind and courteous employees! Got there a little after they reopened at 12 for walk-ins (morning is by appt only), done by 1:45.
