I called about a gas cap they had on one of there shop cars. They told me they did not sale it and may have been custome. He would find out and call me back ( I believe was derrick). I thought I'll never hear back, but about a half hour later he called back, had found out it wasn't a custom cap but from another vendor and they had modified to fit and even told me where to get it. After that customer service they will be my number 1 call for parts from now on

I was looking for headers to buy for my ls converted c3 corvette. I saw that Detroit Speed made headers for this but it read designed to work with their suspension. I have Ridetech suspension and didn't know what the difference was if any difference. So I called Deposit Speed and told them I am running a Ridetech suspension will these headers work on my car. The guy told me yeah they will work on your car. The headers don't come polished so when I got the headers I had them polished. Then tried to install them but they didn't clear the steering box along with a few other areas. So I called Detroit Speed and spoke with the same guy. He told me to just grind down the steering box. Went and looked at it again and there is just no way to make the headers fit. Called back and spoke to the same guy and told them I need to return the headers. He said they can't take them back because I had them polished. He told me to just sell them on eBay. So now I am out $3500. Their employees either are not knowledgeable about their products or just plain lied to me just to sell. Detroit Speed doesn't stand behind their products or tech support when you call prior to purchase to make sure their product will work. Lots of products out there take your money somewhere else
